Tongass National Forest Jobs

Named from the Tongass Clan of the Tlingit Indians who inhabited the southernmost areas of the Alaska panhandle near what is now Ketchikan. At 17 million acres, Tongass National Forest is the largest national forest in the United States, the largest intact temperate rainforest in the world, and is home to a majestic array of islands, mountains, forests, glaciers, salmon streams, fjords and bays.
