Security Guard
The Oasis at Death Valley
Death Valley, California
LIVE. WORK. EXPLORE. as a Security Guard at The Oasis at Death Valley!
Death Valley is the largest U.S. National Park outside Alaska at 3.4 million acres and is renowned for being one of the driest and hottest places on earth.
The Oasis at Death Valley is located in beautiful Death Valley National Park in southern California. Just 120 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada, and 275 miles northeast of Los Angeles, California.
The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The resort presents a complete contrast to the desolate desert landscape that surrounds it and features The Borax Museum, spring-fed swimming pools, tennis courts, horseback riding, massage therapy, and conference and banquet facilities.
Death Valley National Park is open year-round, with over 1 million visitors each year.
Working at any one of our properties can be the experience of a lifetime, where you can create everlasting memories, life-long friendships and help make each guest visit a cherished memory.
For the person who loves the outdoors, this is the ideal location to live and work. After a good day’s work, our employees can take advantage of numerous hiking, biking, and photography opportunities within the park, or use the tennis courts, swimming pool, and golf course at no charge. For those with fitness in mind, we have an employee exercise and weight room. There is also a stable and horseback riding is available from October through May.
We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate candidates to join our community at The Oasis at Death Valley. Disclaimer: you must also not mind very hot temps!
We have a variety of employee accommodations, including:
Housing is based on the position held and is subject to change and designated upon arrival.
We also offer a limited number of spaces in our RV park. Full hook-ups are available.
Along with competitive compensation, The Oasis offers on-property housing, employee discounts, and the experience of living in a national park.
The Oasis at Death Valley is located in Death Valley National Park.
Like many national park properties, The Oasis is in a remote, isolated destination. However, unlike many national park settings, the Oasis is situated 120 miles west of Las Vegas, NV and 275 miles east of Los Angeles. The nearest municipality for activities such as shopping for daily items, vehicle servicing and doctors' and government offices, is Pahrump, NV, 60 miles or one hour driving time east of property.
New employees, who do not arrive by own conveyance, can schedule an employee shuttle pick up in the Las Vegas metro area. The employee shuttle picks up from the Harry Reid Airport, Best Western at the Airport and Silverton Hotel on Tuesday mornings.
Bringing one's own vehicle offers flexibility for recreation during time off and exploring the area. NOTE: Personal vehicles should be prepared to operate in extreme temperature conditions. The Oasis operates an on-property gas station for gasoline.
Death Valley is the largest U.S. National Park outside Alaska at 3.4 million acres and is renowned for being one of the driest and hottest places on earth, where you will find natural wonders unknown in any other part of the world.
It is hot, hot, hot here but we have lots of fun in the sun. You will be able to visit some of the most unique places on earth (check our photos out), play golf, go horseback riding, and just enjoy working in a remote well-known vacation spot!
