Job Summary:
We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to handle all purchasing, receiving, and warehouse operations at the Oasis at Death Valley!
The Details:
Position Type: Full-time Year-round
Season Dates: March or April Start Dates
Pay: $25.10/Hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:
- Select, train, schedule, and supervise Purchasing and Warehouse team members.
- Champion the efficient and effective use and maintenance of Procure to Pay solution, Infor Cloudsuite.
- Monitor and maintain proper security and internal controls for purchasing, receiving, and transferring functions with warehouse inventory.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Corporate Supply Chain team and property departments/stakeholders.
- Lead local implementation and maintain compliance of Supply Chain contracts and preferred vendor programs.
- Ensure adherence to company-wide purchasing policies and procedures.
- Review and evaluate purchases to ensure quality materials from reliable sources in the most efficient manner at the best prices.
- Publish timely reports to management as needed concerning price trends, availability, and recommendations for the development of new or substitute materials.
- Manage warehouse inventory efficiency, to maximize storage usage and minimize carrying value, ensure appropriate replenishment Pars are maintained, identify and propose resolutions for slow-moving and obsolete inventory, and regularly inspect perishable items for freshness and date codes.
- Review purchase requests, analyze bids/quotes, and determine and/or approve the method of purchase.
- Uphold Purchasing, Receiving, and Warehouse policies and procedures, providing training and corrective action as needed.
- Oversee Receiving and Warehouse shipment functions to ensure the accuracy of orders and quality of merchandise meet company standards.
- Track inventories and notify appropriate departments of re-order status.
- Conduct regularly scheduled warehouse physical inventories/cycle counts, and spot audits as required.
- Maintain and update departmental order guides regularly to ensure accurate items are reflected and ordered by Requestors.
- Complete annual reviews for all assigned personnel and conduct corrective action as needed.Assist on special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years operations management experience preferred.
- 2 years purchasing, logistics/distribution, and warehouse operations experience.
- Excellent PC skills to include Microsoft Office applications (strong Excel experience) and experience with, or the ability to learn, the Infor Cloudsuite procure-to-pay system.
- Strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills demonstrated in a fast-paced customer-oriented environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with other departments.
