When is the last time you checked under the hood and took a good look at your job posting strategy? Or researched how to improve the performance of your advertising vehicle?
We see job ads – hundreds and hundreds of them (sometimes, yes, even in our sleep). We understand how, when, and where they hit the site and social media, and see them either work well – or turn sluggish and take efficiency down a few notches.
Here are three suggestions to help you get better mileage out of your job postings:
- If you have multiple openings, be sure to maximize exposure using the JOB LIST section of your Enhanced Profile.
- Understand how ads are posted to pages of the site. Posting a handful of individual job ads at one time could actually be a disadvantage for you. If you need to post several job ads, give each of your postings a better “moment in the spotlight” by staggering the start date of each ad.
- Use a FEATURED BOOST when your recruiting message needs a turbo-charged boost.
And finally, our golden rule: A Job Description is NOT a Job Ad. Your postings will perform better and your positions will receive more interested applicants if you are marketing your positions to job seekers. There is a time and a place for the job description, but it’s not at the first introduction.
