The CoolWorks Story
CoolWorks is a website dedicated to Jobs In Great Places, and was created by the original CoolWorks Kid and Founder, Bill Berg. Bill’s life changed when a summer job in Yellowstone served as the gateway to discovering his place, his passions, and his people — as it has for so many of us who have had our lives changed by a seasonal job. An Information Systems class while pursuing an MBA in the 90’s led him to the spark of an idea. An idea that centered around connecting people to opportunities to live and work in amazing places. CoolWorks was born to do just that, and launched from the Tower Ranger Station inside Yellowstone National Park in 1995.
For more than three decades that spark of an idea has continued to change lives, one seasonal job and one grand adventure at a time. CoolWorks changes lives. It’s changed ours, and has done the same for many of the people we know. For the CoolWorks crew, what we do isn’t just a job; it’s a legacy. Every day we get the opportunity to pass on the spark of undiscovered possibility and adventure. We believe that a rich and fulfilling life is marked by a collection of experiences with the people and places that we grow to love. We are honored to help people discover and collect those treasures.
Our Team
Team CoolWorks is a small, well-traveled team of explorers who’ve worked our way up the ladder from the entry level front lines of seasonal work to positions in upper management. We’ve been in the industry long enough to understand that career paths can change, grow, morph, and evolve as they unfold. Our personal adventures have taught us that great places lead to great experiences. Though each member of Team CoolWorks has a unique backstory and home base, we are united in the shared joy of the work we get to do. CoolWorks has been in existence since 1995, and every day, we celebrate the opportunity to help job seekers find life-changing opportunities like the ones that shaped our own stories.
