We’re hiring Front Desk Managers to Live. Work. Explore. this summer!

Job Summary:
Oversees Guest Services operations, including Front Desk and Bell staff.

The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: Late-April through mid- to late-September 2024 (exact dates vary by location)
Pay: Starting at $1,548.00 bi-weekly
Schedule: Typical schedule is 45-50 hours/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees Guest Services operations, including Front Desk and Bell staff.
  • Manage all tasks performed by front office personnel including labor and scheduling.
  • Reports to the Lodging Leadership team in scheduling, staffing, and budgetary areas.
  • Assists with check-in and check-out, and responds to guest requests and complaints.
  • Maintain and train staff with detailed knowledge about the hotel’s services and hours of operation.
  • Responsible for daily guest room blocking and guest requests.
  • Follow company and departmental environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possess background in hospitality or sales management. At least one year of previous front desk experience preferred.
  • Some experience in a management/supervisory role.
  • Exhibits excellent leaderships skills, ability to supervise, and train staff members.  
  • Ability to perform all tasks required of the housekeeping team on property.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to different changes and have good decision making skills.
  • Must be proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office. Ability to quickly learn Opera, property management software (PMS).
  • Must be organized, goal-oriented, have strong interpersonal communication skills, and be able to handle high-pressure situations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Requires bending, stretching and reaching throughout a shift.
  • Working safely with required chemicals.
