    Night Auditor

    Candler

    Night Auditor (3pm to 10pm)

    Consolidate and record financial information from different departments.  Ensure each guest has a positive and memorable experience.  Treat guests courteously and make sure guest services and administrative duties are performed speedily and efficiently.
     

    Major Responsibilities

    • Checking guests in and out of hotel.
    • Taking and managing reservations
    • Knowledge of Maitre’D, Chorum, Resy, Microsoft Office suite.
    • Issue and redeem gift cards.
    • Handle guests’ requests, problems or complaints.
    • Provide information about rooms, rates and amenities.
    • Reconcile all accounts
    • maintain a pleasant attitude 100% of the time with guests and fellow employees.
    • Identify and report maintenance deficiencies.
    • Demonstrate proper telephone skills
    • Setting up and closing out register.
    • Keep the front office area neat, clean, sanitary and safe - both inside and around the exterior of the office.
    • Check the public restrooms and stocking them.
    • Correctly account for cash, credit cards, checks, and other forms of payment using the credit card machine and the cash drawer.
    • Have 100% accurate shift turn-ins and reservation advance deposits.
    • Correctly account for and control dining room tickets.
    • Keep the storeroom neat and orderly.
    • Meet all health department and safety standards at all times.
    • Close the front office per Pisgah Inn procedures.
       

    Requirements

    • Experience using spreadsheets such as Excel
    • Mathematical & Accounting Skill and ability

    • Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service-based position
    • Hotel front desk/night auditor experience preferred but not required

    Driver

    Candler

    The Driver transports employees in a comfortable, safe and timely manner as well as picking up and transporting retail products to the inn. 


    Major Responsibilities

    • Transporting employees and/or packages to and from destinations
    • Using a navigation system to map the best route
    • Loading parcels into vehicle and unloading them at delivery destination
    • Arrive at destinations on schedule
    • Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
    • Report and arrange for vehicle repairs as needed
    • Keep mileage records and repair records up to date
    • Turn in fuel receipts
    • Recommend changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency
       

    Requirements

    • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
    • Minimum 5 year driving experience required
    • Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find pick up and drop off locations.
    • Time management and organizational skills to stay on schedule
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to speak with vendors and employees
    • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

    Cook

    Candler

    The Cook is responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served, complying with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and following established food production procedures.  Ensures appropriate use of supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste and fraud.
     

    Major Responsibilities

    • Cook and prepare a variety of foods following our recipes and specifications
    • Follow all kitchen safety and sanitation policies & procedures
    • Adhere to plate presentation guidelines / sells food on time
    • Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen
    • Exhibit teamwork with other employees / calls & call backs
    • Communicate clearly with other BOH personnel, FOH, and managers
    • Stock & breaks down section at beginning and end of shifts
    • Maintain a positive working relationship with other employees
    • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or requested

    Food Expeditor

    The Food Expeditor ensures quality and proper presentation of food in a timely manner; that food orders are prepared and assembled quickly according to recipes and procedures to avoid waste; and that the line is always stocked, neat, clean and safe.
     

    Major Responsibilities

    • Maintain professional appearance as per handbook, including proper handwashing.
    • Ensure all food items are correct, plated and presented to our company’s standards.
    • Clearly communicate with members of the front of house, back of house and management.
    • Follow all safety and sanitation policies & procedures – hot food is hot and cold food is cold.
    • Guarantee all food is sold within guidelines.
    • Adhere to plate presentation guidelines.
    • Ensure all product is properly rotated and stocked.
    • Maintain cleanliness throughout the expo area; perform daily cleaning duties.
    • Exhibit teamwork with other employees.
    • Maintain a positive working relationship with other employees.

    Pantry Cook

    Candler

    The Pantry is responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served, complying with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and following established food production procedures.  Ensures appropriate use of supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste and fraud.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Prepare a variety of foods following our recipes and specifications.
    • Make salads.
    • Prepare desserts.
    • Prepare vinaigrettes, dips and herb-infused oils.
    • Perform meal-prep activities like chopping vegetables, cutting fish and meat and washing fruits.
    • Store ingredients to keep them fresh and reduce food wastage.
    • Check food plating, temperature and portions for all cold dishes.
    • Sterilize kitchen equipment at the end of your shift.
    • Monitor stock and place orders, as needed.
    • Maintain a clean station at all times.
    • Monitor proper rotation of prepped and batched food items.
    • Follow all kitchen safety and sanitation policies & procedures.
    • Maintain a positive working relationship with other employees.
    • Assist periodically with preparing food to order on the cooks line.

    Dish Machine Operator

    Ultimately, you’ll help provide an unforgettable dining experience for our customers. Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized. Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks. Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.


    Major Responsibilities

    • Collect used kitchenware from kitchen areas
    • Collecting used kitchenware from kitchen areas
    • Loading and unloading washing machines
    • Stocking plates for both lines and prep
    • Load and unload dishwashing machines
    • Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
    • Set up workstations before meal prep begins
    • Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
    • Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary
    • Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
    • Remove garbage regularly
    • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor

    Housekeeper

    Performs cleaning duties in all guest areas, guest and employee restrooms. Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service. Ensures housekeeping departmental standards are followed. Responds timely to guests' special requests for miscellaneous items like cribs, cots, extra towels, etc.
     

    Major Responsibilities

    • Clean and tidy up hotel rooms, walkways, employee restrooms, public restrooms.
    • Dust and polish various surfaces and furniture
    • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
    • Empty trash bins
    • Change linens and towels and replace toiletries
    • Collaborate with the housekeeping team to complete the daily cleaning schedule
    • Restock cleaning supplies in the hand cart
    • Report any issues that require maintenance

     

    Requirements

    • Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies
    • Able to lift upwards of 25 pounds
    • Meticulous attention to detail
    • Able to follow instructions
    • Time-management skills

    Retail Assistant Manager

    Candler

    The primary job of a Retail Assistant Manager is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the gift shop, country store and café’ in accordance with the vision of Pisgah Inn.  Must ensure that team members are all working towards the target for the day and that excellent customer care standards are met at all times. 
     

    Major Responsibilities

    • To be knowledgeable and proficient with a cash register.
    • Develop a full knowledge of the perpetual inventory system.
    • Managing and motivating your team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
    • To step into the Retail Manager’s position when the Retail Manager is absent.
    • Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control.
    • Using information technology to record sales figures for data analysis and forward planning.
    • Dealing with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff and conducting appraisals   and performance reviews along with the Retail Manager and/or the HR Director.
    • Documenting, disciplining and terminating employees when required along with the Retail Manager and/or the HR Director.
    • Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
    • Train new employees including safety training and collect documentation proving this was done.
    • Organizing displays, ensuring that outlets appear organized at all times
    • Attending scheduled staff meetings
    • Pick up product when required
    • Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
    • Touring the sales floors regularly, talking to customers and colleagues and identifying and resolving urgent issues.
    • Reviewing sales figures as required

    Requirements

    • Retail Management or equivalent work experience preferred.

    Dining Room Supervisor

    Work in tandem with the Dining Room Manager and stepping in to complete the Dining Room Manager’s position in the manager’s absence.  Responsible for supervising of dining room service in the manner most pleasing to guests in accordance with the vision of the company. Must assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of the dining room. Will supervise and train dining room staff and manage within budgetary restraints while constantly motivating staff by keeping morale high.

     

    Major Responsibilities

    • Must learn to be proficient in Maitre’D and Resy.
    • Conduct pre-shift meetings with the Executive Chef.
    • Schedules personnel and plans dining room set up based upon anticipated guest counts and client needs.
    • Greets and seats guests.
    • Supervises dining room staff to help assure proper service; pours coffee and takes orders when necessary.
    • Trains, supervises and schedules dining room staff.
    • Receives and resolves complaints concerning food, beverages and service.
    • Serves as liaison between the dining room and kitchen staff.
    • Assures that all side-work is accomplished and that all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed according to schedule.
    • Directs pre-meal meetings with dining room personnel; relays information and policy changes and briefs personnel.
    • Assures the correct appearance, cleanliness and safety of dining room areas, equipment and fixtures; checks the maintenance of all equipment in the dining room and reports deficiencies and maintenance concerns.
    • Makes suggestions about improvements in dining room service procedures and layout.
    • Produces daily or meal-period revenue analyses and other reports from point-of-sale systems used in the dining room.
    • Assures that the dining room and other areas are secure at the end of the business day.
    • Maintains an inventory of dining room items including silverware, coffee pots, water pitchers, salt and pepper holders, sugar bowls and linen and ensures that they are properly stored and accounted for.
    • Monitors dining room labor; makes adjustments to achieve financial goals.
    • Develops and continually updates and refines policy and procedure manuals for service staff to increase quality and to control costs under Dining Room Manager’s approval.
    • Attends scheduled staff meetings.
    • Confirms that all dining room closing procedures have been completed and assures that area is secure.
    • Designs floor plans in accordance with reservations.
    • Plans operating budget for dining service responsibilities.
    • May serve as opening and closing manager/manager on duty.
    • Assures that local and state laws and the Inn’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
    • Creates processes to motivate staff and keep moral high.
    • Performs other appropriate assignments and projects as required by the Dining Room Manager.
    • Stocking and inventory beer and wine including pantry.
    • Supervises dining room staff.
