The Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon resembles a sprawling three-story chalet with the perfect blend of rustic and modern design. The Grand Hotel is the only 3-diamond hotel in the region and is located in Tusayan, AZ. Our luxurious hotel offers an indoor heated swimming pool and spa and fitness center.
The hotel is open year-round with a peak season between April and October. Xanterra operates the 121 room hotel, two dining facilities, and a retail shop. The year-round staff consists of approximately 90 employees during peak season. Our employees make countless personal connections and create everlasting memories for themselves and our guests.

We live along the Grand Hotel located at the Grand Canyon at a 7000-foot elevation in the ponderosa pine forest.
Most new employees will reside in employee housing. The meal plan is $9 per day for 3 meals. (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and tickets are also offered for individual meals: breakfast $5.00, lunch $6.00, and dinner $7.00
No pets are allowed in housing.
Grand Canyon and Tusayan have basic services available such as shopping, banking, post office, medical clinic, church services and a community library.
Bikes are encouraged, and it is recommended to bring your vehicle if you have one to travel to Flagstaff or any other “outside” locations as Tusayan/GC is very rural, Shuttle services for this purpose are not widely available. The only public transportation available would be the park/Tusayan Shuttle bus transporting from Tusayan to the park. Initial transportation to the property can be arranged via shuttle.

Responsible for proper cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dishes, pots/pans, utensils, and glassware.

Cleans guest rooms and suites to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and service. Reports maintenance deficiencies, handles guests’ requests, and ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms and suites.

The Facilities Maintenance Engineer II is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair activities associated with the operation of all Xanterra Tusayan/Grand Hotel facilities.

Hotel Front Desk Agent professionally greets and welcomes guests upon entrance, provides high-level service while ensuring smooth guest registration and checkout, accurately collects payment, and provides property information to the guests.

Under direction of Operations Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with floor supervision and overseeing the daily dining and beverage outlet operations. This includes all aspects of guest service, cleanliness of the restaurant facilities, and building employee relationships. In addition, this position supports the Operations Manager with advanced administrative responsibilities including using Kronos, accurately logging invoices, tracking uniform usage, and overseeing all food outlet supplies. It is anticipated that this person will be working as a floor manager 70% of the time and will be performing training and administrative duties 30% of the time.
