Bartender
We have a full scale nice little Bar, its helpful if you know a bit about drink making, beer,wine etc...but we can train on that part. Here also you need to be a friendly happy person as your the first one who will greet our guests coming to the dining room. You will also have folks wanting to eat in the bar area,so you will be serving also, unless the dining room servers are not busy. You would be responsible in keeping the back bar area clean. Also 1 day a week you will need to come and deep clean the floors in the back bar area.
Dockhand
You would provide services to marina customers as requested. Duties will include but are not limited to: fueling watercraft, assisting guests with the loading and unloading of luggage, building materials, and other miscellaneous cargo, driving, parking,and launching boats, interacting with guests in a professional manner, as well as vorious non-marina related chores when required. Gratuities are commonly rewarded by satisfied customers.
Housekeeper
Being a housekeeper at "Nelson's" is a energetic position, as you and your partner will grab your cart and head off down the path to the cabins that need either maid service or full clean after a departure. You need to know how to make beds, correctly, clean Kitchens and bathrooms to a sqeekie sparkling shine. Also window washing, brushing the cabin down,and sweeping porches. This person is responsible for the quests first impression of their cabin, and we have a reputation of have very nice clean cabins. Sometimes you will help in the laundry when needed and also in the cleaning of the Lodge. After you finish your shift, a jump in the lake always feels great!
Kitchen Assistant
As a kitchen assistant your job is to ensure that the kitchen is clean and operational. You need to understand the importance of health and hygiene, have plenty of stamina, be a great team player and have the ability to listen and learn -fast
Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
Washing, peeling,chopping, cutting and helping to prepare salads and desserts
Disposing of rubbish
Cleaning the foods preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
Servers
As a server, you will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in a semi formal atmosphere. Also on top of the serving duties you will be helping in the making of dressings, sauces, cookies and desserts. Also you will be helping keep the lodge and dining room clean. You have to be a positive people person to be in this position.
Gardener
Our gardener is in charge of caring for all the flowerbeds, hanging baskets ect... and planting, watering and picking a variety of vegetables that we serve in our dinning room . A knowledge of gardening would be helpful.
Store Clerk
Here at Nelsons, we have a gift / grocery type shop. we have a small amount of candy, soda, milk, eggs, ect along with sweatshirts, caps and gift items. In this building is also a game room. This position needs a friendly, happy person who likes to visit with our guests when they come in. Also of course run the register, keep things nice an tidy, stock the coolers and do the daily cleaning chores.
