We are a family run Resort, established. in 1931. Our guests are like family; it may be their very first trip or their 50th, all greeted with a happy smile. We, with the help of our employees, let our guests create lasting memories whether it's with family, friends, a guys group, business or a wonderful couple.
We are located on the South East side of Crane Lake in Minnesota.
About Nelsons Resort
Nelson's is the kind of resort that people return to year after year.
Many of our guests have been coming for generations, families that have been coming for 30, 40, 50 + years started out bringing their kids, then grandkids, then great-grandkids ... it's their special place, together, in the peacefulness and beauty of the north woods, the elders believing if the children do not experience this beauty, they will never know it exists.
Our guests, as you already understand return year after year, but also many of the employees return as well, as working alongside us at Nelson's is like being part of the family. Our crew members become lifelong friends with the other employees but also to us. Nelson's consists of 22 lakeside cabins, full dining room, lounge, bar, marina and store, so there are many different employment opportunities that may suit you. The Employee Experience
If you choose to come work with us at Nelson's, you will receive a very special sense of purpose, working with our guests to ensure they have a wonderful stay, they will know your name, as well as you will know theirs by the end of the stay.
When your shift is over, you will get together with other employees and enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, berry picking, canoeing, walking, playing disc golf, cards or games. The Crew most often than not, become lifelong friends. When your employment period ends, many plan on returning for another season, which many do, but I can guarantee you will always have a place in your heart for Nelson's.

Employee Perks
The use of all resort facilities and equipment can be enjoyed free of charge provided it does not interfere with the Guests. Employees' immediate family can receive 25% off of lodging, subject to availability.
Getting Here and Getting Around
Nelson's is a drive-to resort. Directions are on our website. Airport in Duluth MN and transportation can be arranged to bring you to Nelson's.
For Fun
Let see, what is there fun to do here, well...... hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, canoeing, boating, campfires, enjoying the Voyageurs National Park, Boundry Waters Canoe Area (BWCA), and enjoying all this with your new "work" family. Oh, I almost left out that working at Nelson's is fun in itself!
