About Liquid Alaska Tours

Liquid Alaska Tours is an adventure travel company headquartered in Juneau, Alaska. We are dedicated to providing high-end Alaskan experiences that showcase our unique landscape, culture, and untamed spirit. Founded in 2009, our dream became our mission: to provide visitors of the Last Frontier with unforgettable and unparalleled vacation experiences.

We are a small, locally owned and operated company. We strive to be the best in every way; for our guests, our team, our environment, our community, our world.

The Employee Experience

Want to spend the summer hiking in the Alaskan wilderness every day? Or how about canoeing across a glacier-fed lake in the middle of the Tongass National Forest surrounded by mountains and wildlife? With Liquid Alaska Tours, this could be your life!

Guiding in Alaska is an experience in itself and what you do in your free time just is all an extra added bonus! Juneau has roughly around 30,000 people and three times the amount of hiking trails than it does roads. It is an outdoor enthusiasts dream, tucked away in a remote corner of Southeast Alaska where the mountains and glaciers meet the Pacific Ocean.  Our employees spend their time exploring nature for both work and play, all summer long. Peak summer daylight is in excess 18 hours a day, so even with a full workday there is always ample time for non-work adventures. We do our best to make sure all employees have a great work/life balance but remember this is a seasonal job that can be intense. So being flexible and always up for an adventure whether it is for work or play is a must!

If you're seeking an exciting, challenging, demanding and rewarding environment, then working with us is a perfect match.

Ideal Candidate

No matter what your position with Liquid Alaska Tours, first and foremost, we are looking for the right personality. The right candidate will be respectful, adventurous, reliable, honest, hardworking, punctual, independent and goal-driven. They will also possess these key elements:

  • The desire to give the guests the experience of a lifetime.
  • The ability to work in a flexible environment with an ever-changing work schedule.
  • View safety and guests need as a number one priority.
  • The desire to become proficient in Alaska’s history and culture; and be able to effectively and efficiently portray that information to our guests.

We recruit the best people, pay the best wages, and provide our staff with the best equipment.  It's that simple!

Room and Board

We offer assisted employee housing. Therefore, you are able to arrive without worrying about having a place to stay or a bed to sleep in. Liquid Alaska employees have the choice to take advantage of our assisted employee housing or the choice to go out and find their own.  No matter what the situation, we are here to help. Your house is your home and we do our best to make sure our employees are comfortable.

Employee Perks

PERKS FOR WORKING WITH US:  TOP PAY IN THE INDUSTRY, HOUSING OPTIONS, AND INCENTIVE BONUSES!

Getting Here and Getting Around

Juneau is surrounded by the ocean and mountains, landlocked as a result.  You can fly into our international airport (multiple daily flights with Alaska Airlines or Delta Airlines) or use the Alaska Marine Highway ferry service. We will help coordinate pickups from the airport upon your arrival. The city itself has one major road that is 45 miles long with a regular public bus system and a compact, walkable downtown.

A vehicle is not a necessity but makes exploring the area much easier. You can either bring your own car via the Alaska Marine Highway ferry (departing from Bellingham, WA or Skagway, AK) or purchase a cheap car for the summer (this is very common).  Bicycles are also a good solution, just be sure to have waterproof gear!

For Fun

Mountains, Ocean, Ice Caves, Hiking, Backpacking, Camping, Climbing, Beach Fires, Tours, Photography, Northern Lights, Canoeing, and much more. With up to 18 hours of daylight during the summer, opportunities are endless. Juneau is also SE Alaska’s largest city, therefore it has pretty much everything you would need along with lots of different weekend festivals, weekly markets, and activities. There are even two movie theaters and a bowling alley!
