Coastal dining destination searching for enthusiastic candidates to join us and enjoy the beauty of Block Island!

Dead Eye Dick's, the restaurant is an upscale coastal dining destination focused on creative takes on classic New England dishes. Our seafood comes straight from our on-site fish market, Dick’s Fish & Provisions. We are an independent restaurant and market with a hardworking, positive team that takes pride in what we do.

Currently looking for enthusiastic candidates willing to relocate to Block Island for the summer. Come join us, make good money for five months, enjoy the beauty of the island, and be free to move on to your next venture/travels/winter job in the Fall. Positions available in both front of house and back of house.

We are an independently owned restaurant and fish market that takes pride in what we do. We value honesty and punctuality and always appreciate someone with a good sense of humor! Working with us you'll quickly come to learn we are a tight-knit group of people who turn into family. We love what we do and want to share that with you too!

Ideal candidates are self-sufficient and have a positive attitude. A good sense of humor paired with a calm demeanor under pressure. Good communication skills and capable of working with a team.

We provide two different spaces for housing. Both are dormitory style with shared bedrooms and bathrooms. Rooms are split by gender and you can expect to have 1-2 roommates. We provide professional cleaning for all common areas and bathrooms once per week. Being respectful of your fellow housemates is a must. The cost of accommodations varies per room.

We offer a family meal free of charge for each shift worked. One meal is provided at the beginning of AM shifts and one meal is provided at the end of PM shifts. All employees get a discount on all food menu items.  

We offer an end of the year employee party to celebrate all the hard work and hours put into the season! All employees receive discounts on food menu items and select items from our fish market on property.

Block Island being a small island, parking for personal vehicles can be quite difficult. During the busy months of the summer, parking is limited. We do not allow employees to park at the restaurant due to our limited amount of space for customers. Both housing locations are within walking distance of the restaurant. One location is right above the restaurant with a short walk down the stairs. The other location is about a one-mile walk. Bikes are encouraged as everything is reachable with a short bike ride.

Transportation from the airport and ferry can be discussed but is not always provided. We are happy to offer advice on the best location to fly into and how to get to the ferry. Can arrange for pick up once on the island. There are also taxis on the island for public transportation. 

Block Island is an amazing place to spend your summer! There are endless walking trails with breathtaking views of the ocean. Miles of beach to sunbathe and take cooling dips in the ocean. At night the island provides a spectacular view of the stars with chances to catch meteor showers! Block Island is a community-driven island and there are markets, small festivals, and activities available to all.
