Coastal Helicopters is located in the picturesque capital city of Alaska - Juneau. Sandwiched right between mountains and ocean, we're a close community of 30,000 people surrounded on all sides by the beautiful wilderness of the Juneau Icefield and the Inside Passage.
About Coastal Helicopters
Coastal Helicopters is a multi-faceted, locally owned helicopter company located in Juneau, Alaska that provides charter, contract, on-demand, and flightseeing tours. Our tour department employees are fanatics about providing guests with off-the-beaten-path adventures that put them into dog sleds and onto glaciers. While the team loves being a part of our guest’s “happiest moments,” they love creating memories of their own through making lifelong friendships and soaking up Juneau’s once-in-a-lifetime views.

Ideal Candidate
Coastal’s team LOVES Alaskan summers! We’re looking for folks who feel the same and have a desire to learn and grow within the dynamic world of aviation tourism. The Coastal’s customer service gurus are:

While there are opportunities for everyone regardless of experience within the tourism industry, prior involvement in a fast-paced setting is beneficial (preferably in a customer service capacity).
Room and Board
Coastal Helicopters does have limited housing to employees who qualify. We have a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house that can accommodate up to 12 employees. While the house is co-ed, the rooms will not be. Staff house is located a reasonable mile walk away from work as well as local grocers. Housing includes Wi-Fi, beds, bed linens, limited cleaning supplies, and a full kitchen (including kitchenware). Housing costs $20/day automatically taken from your paycheck.

Getting Here and Getting Around
While not on an island, Juneau is only accessible by air or sea and the team gets here through flight (Alaska Air) or the ferry (Alaska Marine Highway).
Once settled, the bus system has an expansive network and runs every half hour making not having a vehicle manageable when commuting to work or to local trails to enjoy the outdoors. Many employees opt to bike to work if they live in the area surrounding the airport (AKA, the Valley).

If you love the outdoors then Juneau is for you. Surrounded by water and hiking trails everywhere you'll never run out of things to explore! Bonfires on the beach at sunset, hiking to the alpine with 360-degree views of wilderness, or enjoying locally crafted beer and spirits at one of our numerous tasting rooms. Juneau is the place for everyone!
