Camp Wicosuta's philosophy is based on providing the "3 C's": Confidence, Competence & Community.
On Newfound Lake in Hebron, New Hampshire. Surrounded by the White Mountains. 45 minutes from Hanover about 2 hours from Boston.
CAMP WICOSUTA...Underneath New Hampshire Skies in 2024!
A traditional four-week sleepaway camp for girls in New Hampshire that offers two sessions.
Our goal is for every camper to walk away feeling confident in herself, and competent in her abilities in any number of areas. We teach these skills in a physically and emotionally safe community in which our campers are challenged to move past their self-set limits.
Our counselors are the main reason campers return to Wicosuta each summer and their energy, enthusiasm, support, and teamwork creates an atmosphere in which our campers learn, grow, and achieve.
Work with people from all over the world in a residential setting.

We have post-camp work opportunities through the end of August.
Along with a salary and travel stipend, all staff members are provided with free room and board while working at Wico (so no paying rent). Salary Range: $2200-$3500 without travel stipend
Travel Stipend Range: $100-$550 for domestic staff
Certifications: Wicosuta pays for all certifications including lifeguarding, ropes certification, cpr/first aid

Though each counselor is hired for his or her experience working with children and expertise in a specialty area, all Wicosuta counselors are part of one team that works and lives together.

Most of our staff live in a cabin with kids. We do have some non-bunk staff including our leadership & male staff. We have private and semi-private housing options on site for these staff.
Wicosuta offers a variety of opportunities for staff to enjoy themselves during their downtime!

We provide transportation to and from camp from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Manchester Regional Airport (MHT).
On days off (and certain evenings off) Wicosuta provides FREE transportation to nearby cities, local attractions etc.
We offer parking on-site if staff bring their cars.

Specific Qualifications
Our Athletic program consists of the following sports: Soccer, Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Archery, Track and Field
As a member of our leadership team, you are an integral part of our community and have responsibilities outside your activity area. You are a role model and will be called upon to assist and help in various aspects of camp. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The office staff is the first point of contact for all staff, campers and camper families, while they are at camp. This is a great job for someone who wants to be in a camp setting but work in an administrative type role, and not live with campers but live with other adults.
The office staff are responsible for facilitating the efficient and effective operation of the Wico office. The camp office is the center for all areas of camp. Office staff members interact with the camp community and keep information flowing smoothly from one area of camp to another.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
In addition to the above the office staff needs to be able to effectively receive and route all mail/e-mail/messages to the correct campers and staff. Must be comfortable on the phone and using basic computer programs.
