Flexible schedule: Choose 2, 3, or 4 ten-day sessions. Sessions run from June 23 through August 14. All staff must be available June 13 - June 20 for staff training.
Accommodations: Live in a camper cabin with plumbing, electricity, and nutritious meals
Wages: Base salaries start at $2600/season, but can increase based on experience/education/skillset. This position is also eligible for the contract completion bonus for those choosing to work 3+ sessions.

Create a culture of joy and acceptance by building relationships and programs that strengthen and support the physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being of campers and staff.
Basic Qualifications
Essential Responsibilities
Mission & Values Advancement: Work in harmony and cooperation with the camp community, integrating the mission, goals, and values into camp culture. Ensure physical, mental, emotional, social health and safety of all campers and staff through best practices and compassionate relationships.
Trauma Informed Care: Follow and maintain limits for campers and staff using the CSC collaborative behavior management model emphasizing character development and strengths-based assets.
Camp Leadership: Provide supervised health care to campers and staff. Implement standing orders, dispensing of medication, cleanliness of Health Center, maintenance of First Aid Kits, and basic health care under the supervision of the Wellness Director.
Licensing & Accreditation: Enforce and uphold all emergency, safety, and security guidelines, standards, best practices, and procedures as recommended or required by the American Camp Association, Alliance For Camp Health, and Maine DHHS. Maintain a healthy and safe environment through the attention to and care of the facilities, grounds, equipment, and supplies.
Participation & Representation: Follow all guidelines, rules, and policies as outlined through training, modeling, verbalization, and written materials and always represent camp positively.

Earn a minimum of $500/week, dependent on experience

Food Service Coordinator
Camp Susan Curtis is seeking a motivated Food Service Coordinator to join our kitchen staff for summer 2024! Previous kitchen/restaurant experience is desired, but willing to train the right person. We offer a fun, friendly work environment, a pristine, waterfront location, and a chance to make an impact by providing a transformative camp experience that nurtures self-confidence and a sense of belonging in Maine children facing economic hardship.
Pay begins at $20/hour, up to 40 hours/week

Program Coordinator
Program Coordinator - Multiple Positions: The next level of Camp Leadership. As a Program Coordinator, you will provide oversight and focus to specific program areas. Current openings are Creative Arts/Nature, Waterfront/Sports, and Teen Specialty (Art, Sports, Waterfront, Outdoor Pursuits).
Camp and/or youth development experience is required. Must be available for the full summer.
Creative Arts Specialist
Lead the delivery of our Creative Arts programs, including: Arts & Crafts, Pottery, Theater & Dance, and more. Help campers develop and grow while exploring their creativity (and your own!). Qualified candidates will have an interest in creating and teaching art, the ability to communicate instructions clearly and patiently, and the capability to keep work stations clean and organized.
Through this position, you will collaborate with Leadership Team to integrate curriculum, supervise and train staff, and schedule session activities. Live and work with a cabin family.
*There is some flexibility in scheduling for this position, but preferred applicants will be available for all 4 camp sessions in addition to staff training (9 weeks total)
Waterfront Specialist
Lead the delivery of waterfront activities including swim lessons, recreational swim, kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding, Collaborate with Leadership Team to integrate curriculum, supervise and train staff, and schedule session activities. Live and work with a cabin family.
Previous lifeguard experience required.
Current Lifeguarding Certification required, WSI preferred. Lifeguard Certification course offered at beginning of staff training for those in need of re-certification.
