Make a Difference in the Lives of Children and Adults with Disabilities.
Camp Summit is a residential or “sleep away” camp for children and adults with disabilities. With weeklong camp sessions, weekend sessions and respite days, campers are offered a wide variety of traditional camp activities in our barrier-free environment.
Camp Summit is located in Paradise, Texas, just north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex on 460 beautiful acres. We are accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed as a Youth Camp in the State of Texas.
About Camp Summit
Camp Summit hires seasonal staff for each fall and summer to fulfill a safe ratio of two campers to every one counselor. Most staff members live in the cabins (your "home away from home") with the campers during their one-week stay. Many of our staff are college students pursuing fields of human interest. We also work with international agencies to recruit personnel from all over the world. Benefits include salary, room and board, laundry facilities, wireless internet, and the experience of a lifetime!

Getting Here and Getting Around
Staff will be responsible for their transportation to Texas and to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. A Camp Summit staff member will be available to transport you from an airport, train, or bus station.
During time off, the Staff member on duty will make "town runs" for staff who do not have their own transportation.
For Fun
Staff have many options for entertainment in the area during their designated time off. In addition to the staff lounge (on camp) there are many shops, restaurants, movie theaters, etc. within miles of Camp Summit. During longer breaks, Dallas and Forth Worth are both an easy car or train ride from Paradise.
