- Backgrounds we look for: Counselor, special education, teacher, special needs, personal care etc.
- Oversee health of all campers, staff, and volunteers at camp
- Administer medication for campers
- Perform or assist in routine medical procedures such as respiratory treatments, seizure management, routine care for diabetes, feeding tubes, catheters, urostomies, colostomies, wounds, etc.

Archery Activity Leader
The activity director must be willing to implement creative and engaging archery activities that are appropriate for each camper’s specific needs. Supervise counselors and be willing to teach and educate them on safety procedures. Assist in the management and care of the equipment and maintain a clean working environment. Certification is not required, but experience is heavily preferred. If no experience or certification, must be willing to obtain one upon hire.
Lifeguard
Lifeguards lead and supervise all aquatic activities at the pool. Perform daily and weekly maintenance and cleaning tasks on pool and equipment. Follow established policies and procedures for pool area and assist with the training of camp staff to assist in aquatic procedures. Be willing to create new engaging ideas that will improve the aquatics program at camp all while providing a safe environment. Previous lifeguarding experience strongly preferred and certification is required upon or before hire. (Summer only)
Ropes Challenge Course Activity Leader
Assist in leading, inspecting, and overall care of the high and low ropes courses and equipment. Must be willing to supervise and adhere to all safety precautions and challenges that may arise with both the course and campers. Certification is not required, but experience is heavily preferred. If no experience or certification, must be willing to obtain a training certificate upon hire.
Camp Counselor
Hiring counselors for a sleep-away camp for children and adults with disabilities in Paradise, Texas. This is a 3-month seasonal position.
Camp Summit is a residential or “sleep away” camp for children and adults with disabilities (ages 6-99). Camp Summit hires seasonal staff each summer and fall to fulfill a safe ratio of two campers to every one staff member. Staff members live in the cabins with the campers during their one-week stay. Many of our staff are college students pursuing fields of human interest, education, special education, special needs, etc.

Pay: $525 per week

Kitchen Staff
Assists the kitchen manager and head cook in the preparation and service of meals while ensuring a safe and sanitary dining experience for our campers and staff. This position involves all aspects of food service operations including: food preparation, dishwashing, service of food, and general cleaning. Local hires may be 16 yrs. + and are not required to live on camp.

Nursing Student
Assist with the health of all campers, staff, and volunteers at camp. Responsibilities include medication administration, routine medical procedures, and first aid under RN supervision. Must have completed at least one semester of nursing school.
