Camp Modin has summer job openings on our Waterski Team. Camp Modin is looking for motivated, energetic, positive, and caring individuals to join our staff for this summer! Many of our staff, from a variety of majors, have been able to get internship credit through their schools. We provide great salaries, as well as housing, laundry, and meals for the summer. Come to Camp Modin to have the best summer of your life!

ABOUT:

As a counselor, you would be working and living in a cabin with a group of children (our kids range from 7-16 years) and participating in activities, sports, field trips, etc. What sets Modin apart is the magnificent waterfront nestled on the shores of Salmon Lake and our breathtaking facilities include over one hundred watercraft (including sailboats, canoes, kayaks, stand up paddleboards, pedal boats, and four tournament Malibu waterski boats), a state-of-the-art fitness facility, a gymnastics gym, a dance studio, three soccer fields, a new baseball facility, brand new tennis and pickleball courts, and more!

As a Waterski instructor, you would work on our four brand-new tournament Malibu boats.

Our Waterski Specialists are responsible for driving our boats and teaching kids how to Waterski, Wakeboard, Kneeboard, Tube, and Wake Surf. You would be in charge of upholding our safety standards and allowing the kids to experience a variety of watersports, while working on a team of 10-16 other instructors. You would also get involved with the campers in the bunks at meal times, in the evenings, and on trips. Some activity areas include:

  • Sports: Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Football, Floor Hockey, Lacrosse, Tennis, Pickleball, Gymnastics
  • Water Activities: Swim Instruction, Waterski, Wakeboarding, Tubing, Kneeboarding, Paddleboarding, Canoe/Kayaking, Sailing
  • Creative Arts: Arts & Crafts, Ceramics, Guitar, Drums, Theater, Nature, Dance
  • Adventure: High Ropes Course, Climbing Tower, Camping, Outdoor Adventure

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with waterskiing, wakeboarding, kneeboard, and/or tubing
  • Boating/Boat Driving experience & certification
  • A passion for boats, waterskiing, wakeboarding, etc.
  • Motivated, Hardworking, Dedicated
  • Positive Individual
  • Want to make a difference in the lives of kids
  • Experience working with kids is a plus

Room and board is provided for all of our staff for the summer. Most of our staff live in bunks with our campers. Each bunk has a bathroom and shower. We have a dining hall where we have all of our meals. Room, Board, Laundry, and Meals are all included for the summer!
