    Cabin Counselor

    $425.00 / week

    Must be 18 years of age by 6/9/24
    2024 Dates: June 9 - August 10 (Must be available for the entire date range) 
    2024 Salary: Starting at $3,825 + up to $400 contract completion payment, lodging and meals valued at $2,000

    Backpacking Guide

    $550.00 / week

    Must be 21 years of age by 6/5/24
    2024 Dates: June 5 - July 27 (Must be available for the entire date range) 
    2024 Salary: Starting at $4,125 + up to $300 contract completion payment, lodging and meals valued at $2,000

    The Backpacker is an out of cabin role responsible for planning and leading 1 and 2 night backpacking trips for 10-14 campers both on camp porperty and in Rocky Mountain National Park. They will work alongside the other Backpacker in planning meals, managing gear, and leading campers. When not on trips they will be assigned to other camp programs, provide airport transportation, and assist in the overall operation of camp. Applicants must have backpacking experience on multi-day trips (leading children preferred), a current WFA/WFR certification (or ability to obtain), and be at least 21 years of age with a clean driving record.

    Essential Job Functions:
    1. Program Area

    • Oversee the Backpacking Program with fellow Backpacker.
    • Meal plan and pack out food supplies for trips.
    • Lead groups of 10-14 campers on overnight backpacking trips.
    • Maintain gear and repairs as needed.

    2. Camper Supervision

    • Apply basic youth development principles in working with campers through communication, relationship development, respect for diversity, involvement and empowerment of youth, and environmental appreciation.
    • Assure campers are properly supervised at all times.
    • Be aware of and implement safety guidelines.

    3. Additional Camp Support

    • Assist Leadership Team in carrying out session opening and closing days.
    • Provide support to Leadership Team for evening program planning, set up, and clean up.
    • Teach in other program activity areas when backpacking is not in session.

    4. Transportation

    • Work with Assistant Director to create and execute a schedule of provisional pick ups at grocery stores, box stores, and pharmacies to assist staff in resupplying essentials.
    • Provide airport transportation.


    Job Qualifications:

    • Must be 21 years of age or older.
    • Must be able to provide a clean driving record and willing to learn van driving safety.
    • At least one year camp experience (preferred).
    • Experience backpacking on multiple trips
    • WFR/WFA Certification (or able to obtain)

    Chef

    $800.00 / week

    The Camp Chefs work alongside the Camp Directors in kitchen operations, menu planning, ordering, inventory, and kitchen staff management to provide nutritious, well-prepared meals for campers, staff, and guests. Salary starts at $800/weekly. Learn more here!

    Leadership

    Village Director - Eagles

    $675.00 / week

    Village Director:

    The Eagles Village Director supervises, directs and provides leadership to our youngest camper group (campers finishing 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades). The purpose of the job is to manage, coach and encourage staff, and meet the diverse social and emotional needs of campers. The Eagles Village Director works alongside the Director team in overseeing the smooth operation of the Village and managing staff and camper behavior. It is required that the Eagles Village Director have previous camp experience, and experience working with early elementary aged children.

    Nurse (Weekdays Only)

    $225.00 / day
    Camp Granite Lake

    2024 DATES: June 17th - August 3rd and one training day during the week of June 10th.

    Nurses provide assistance and direct care to a community of approx, 200 campers and staff. Must have current State of Colorado Nursing License, or reciprocity. Experience with pediatrics is a plus!

    Salary starts at $225 a day. Lodging and meals are provided during shift.

We are looking for counselors with skills in sailing. We are also hiring backpacking guides, chefs, a weekday nurse, and a Village Director. We have filled all of our international positions for summer 2024.
