    Host

    Moab, Utah

    As a Host, you are the first point of contact for all guests starting their dining experience at our casual dining style restaurant. Your goal is to set the tone for the guests from the moment they enter. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes an option for employee housing for the duration of employment.

    Responsibilities

    • Demonstrate the stamina to work long hours in a fast-paced service environment
    • Welcome guests to the establishment and provide accurate wait times
    • Acknowledge guests upon their departure
    • Be in frequent communication with Back of House supervisor and team
    • Demonstrate the ability to problem solve independently or in collaboration with your team and/or supervisor

    Food & Beverage

    Kitchen Manager

    Moab, Utah

    As a Back of House Manager, you will support the Food and Beverage Manager by leading the culinary team and completing delegated administrative tasks. You will ensure that food safety protocols and all brand standards are followed. The Kitchen Manager also serves as a lead cook and/or expediter. This is a long-season salary-exempt position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

    Responsibilities

    • Support FBM with associate management through interviewing, scheduling, missed punch adjustments and coaching conversations
    • Assist in supervising the day-to-day activities of associates, assign responsibilities for tasks, and set deadlines to ensure the timely completion of tasks
    • Maintain complete product knowledge and actively educate associates on menus, recipes, portions, specials, seasonal changes, allergens, etc.
    • Participate in menu development, seasonal changes, daily specials, costing and product adjustments, development of property wide Food and Beverage programing and optimization

This is a seasonal, hourly position that includes team member housing for the duration of employment. This position is ideal if you love working outdoors for long periods of time and requires cross-departmental collaboration in a number of functional areas.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ability to exhibit leadership skills via team management, delegation, and prioritization, all while positively engaging with on-site guests and upcoming arrivals
    • Effectively coordinate and execute tasks cross-departmentally including but not limited to, Guest Experience, Front Desk, Adventures, Food & Beverage & Groups
    • Welcome guests as they arrive, confirm their on-site activities, and set the tone for the duration of their stay
    • Share passion, knowledge, and recommendations for activities and attractions to experience in the local community
    • Anticipate workflow and appropriately delegate tasks to Guest Experience team
    • Coordinate off-site activities for guests and clients by maintaining and building relationships with third-party adventure vendors.
    • Maintain weekly calls with corporate Adventures team to troubleshoot challenges and discuss future opportunities.
    • Exercise best judgement, tact, and resourcefulness when exercising company policies and addressing concerns with the appropriate department(s) as needed
    • Find ways to streamline processes to maximize efficiency and resource use
    • Cultivate and share resources and leads with headquarter teams for departmental growth
    • Conduct on-site activities consisting of but not limited to stargazing, nature walks, yoga, live music, special events (i.e. group events & holiday themed activities)
    • Ensure all events, adventures, and company programs are well attended and received
    • Strive for excellence in guest experience across all departmental priorities (adventures, on-site activities, retail & equipment rentals)
    • Contribute and assist teammates at on-site & corporate level to maintain high standards of camp operations
    • Demonstrate accountability & diligence with all associated priorities
    • Exercise leadership abilities to develop team strengths and opportunities
    • Control costs (on-site activities) and maintain monthly budget
    • Participate in weekly and daily meetings to ensure the GECs as well as the Front Desk team are well informed about activities offered on site as well as off site, upcoming events or groups, and any other special events or arrivals
    • Ensure all upcoming events and VIP arrivals have a point person
    • Oversee all Retail operations including ordering, inventory, product, and financial management
    • Weekly/bi-weekly/monthly action plan to help drive NPS and value for price paid
    • Other duties as assigned

    Preferred Qualifications

    • High School (High school diploma) Diploma/GED (High school diploma)
    • Prior Under Canvas or supervisory experience a plus
    • Minimum two years of experience with guest interaction in resorts, hotels, or hospitality
    • Service-minded with passion for guest service experience

    Shuttle Driver

    Moab, Utah

    As a Shuttle Driver, your role is to transport team members to and from their housing to the camp location and various locations as needed. The Shuttle Driver position will also be trained in operational tasks and assist with on property duties as needed. In this role, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles and provide safe and comfortable scheduled transportation for team members. The schedule for this position will vary from week to week depending on business needs. This is a seasonal, hourly position, and includes the option for housing during duration of employment.

    Laundry Attendant

    Moab, Utah

    Fresh air, nature, and clean linens! This is a unique opportunity to work outdoors in some of the country’s most popular national parks. As a Laundry Attendant, you play a critical role in what makes ULUM so unique, providing our guests with crisp linens and fresh towels as they sleep under the stars. Reporting to a Laundry Supervisor, you will work with a team of peers to clean and restock linens for the location. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes a housing option for the duration of employment.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Interact regularly with associates and guests in a genuine, professional manner
    • Demonstrate the ability to problem solve independently or in collaboration with your team and/or supervisor
    • Eagerly seek opportunities to ensure guests requests and needs have been timely and efficiently fulfilled
    • Maintain a supply of clean linens and towels
    • Sort used linens, load washers, run the wash cycle, dry, fold, and restock
    • Maintain a clean laundry area and follow proper OSHA/HAZCOM procedures
    • Assist associates throughout the resort as necessary to ensure high standards of service for all guests
