About The Forest Lake Club

Our Club is a little bit country club, a little bit resort surrounded by nature, hunting, and fishing. We were founded in 1882 and have loads of history to share as we adapt to current trends. Our staff culture is family-like with a fun team spirit. Our crew is small and the full-timers have been here for decades. Our seasonal staff is welcomed aboard in April and works through November, although July and August are our busiest months. We offer meals and housing for those coming in from out of the area.

We are a small private membership club with most of our members living 2-4 hours away. We are a destination for most of them and we work hard to bring them the best experience they can have while they are here. We strive to be creative with food and events to keep things fresh and interesting because our clientele doesn't change. We don't want them to get bored!

We have a main dining room that seats 180. Most of our meals are served on our very large wrap-around porch which can seat 300. We also host meals at our lakes, orchard, and stream. We encourage new ideas and out-of-the-box thinking.

The Employee Experience

Our club is in the northern Pocono mountains. We are rural! There are more trees and squirrels than people. The closest town with a Walmart is a half-hour drive. The closest city is an hour away. We are a tourist destination. Living here is quiet and peaceful. Staff can fish, play golf and tennis, hike, swim, and hunt on their time off. We do have some really good restaurants within a 30-45 minute drive. The membership is very kind and respectful of the staff. They take the time to get to know us and genuinely care about the team. The effort we put into giving them a quality experience is reflected back in many ways (anything from small gifts of appreciation, to additional gratuities, or homemade cookies).

Ideal Candidate

A successful candidate is one who has a heart for hospitality. Providing exceptional food, service, and experiences for our members is the top priority. If you like people are detail-oriented, are skilled in food and beverage, have creative ideas, and enjoy nature and the outdoors you will love it here!

Room and Board

Room and board is available for out-of-area employees. The club offers a couple of types of housing options. There is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom shared apartment with kitchen or single hotel-style rooms, some with a shared living room. Staff can use the grounds and facilities as long as it does not intrude on member use. Meals are included. Wages vary if housing is required. We do not compensate for travel or shipping of personal items. We do not allow pets. Staff housing is smoke-free.

Employee Perks

Staff may use the grounds and facilities at the club. These include swimming, hiking, shooting and archery ranges, fishing, kayaking, tennis, golf, paddle courts, horseshoes, cornhole, basketball, and hunting when in season.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Forest Lake Club is rural. If you plan to venture off-property having your own vehicle would be necessary. Uber and Lift are not frequently used in our area but you can try them. We can arrange transportation for you to and from the airport if needed. The Wilkes-Barre Scranton Internation Airport is the closest and about an hour's drive.

For Fun

We are located about 4 miles from the Delaware River offering rafting, kayaking, and tubing companies to choose from. It is also great for Eagle watching.

Lake Wallenpaupack is a twenty-minute drive. This lake is excellent for power boating, restaurants, and breweries.
