Come & Join Sven's Basecamp Hostel Crew in the heart of Alaska: Hostel Caretaker for Summer 2024

Sven's is looking for enthusiastic and customer-friendly hostel staff.

Individual or couples are encouraged to apply. No pets. 

We are located at the edge of Fairbanks on a beautiful 3-acre property. The property is spacious, and very green and gives our guests plenty of room to spread out or mingle. Our colorful crowd comes from all corners of the world and we aim to provide a relaxing oasis and offer all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. You will live on the property and are able to use the internet services, kitchen, bikes, and here and there a vehicle to explore the surrounding areas. 

Everybody does everything around here. We also have a little coffee shop so one day you might find yourselves making coffee and selling sweets, the next day you'll be taking care of the flowers or checking people into their rooms. We pride ourselves on having a very clean and orderly place so at check-out it is all hands on deck to prepare the rooms for our next visitors. 

Sometimes things get hectic with everybody wanting to check in at once, other times things are chill and we're able to take a breather and relax, going hiking and exploring. Our office is open from 8am to 10pm and the coffee shop called: Mad Trapper is open from 7am to 11am.

The hostel is a fun and adventurous place to stay for people who are looking for something off the beaten path. With its 2 treehouses, wall tent cabins, and a campground it is a very lively and fun place.
