Sunset Lodge on Oak Island, MN (Northwest Angle of Lake of the Woods) is looking for a Line Cook! 50 hours per week conservatively. The position is paid bi-weekly starting $15/hour DOE. Room/board are included! Must be a team player and willing to help out with other resort duties when needed. The job profile of a cook includes preparing meals for employees, resort guests & the public. Experience with line cooking & preparing chef’s choice- type meals is required. Cooks must be creative and have the ability to create special breakfast & dinner menus on a weekly basis for employees & American Plan guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prep work, maintaining a spotless kitchen.
• Maintaining equipment
• Put food out in a timely manner with appropriate garnishes
• Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously.
• Assisting Manager with weekly grocery order & inventory
• Assisting Manager in keeping food costs down & reducing waste

Skills and Specifications

• Should have excellent customer service skills
• Should be well groomed with clean hygiene.
• Should be organized and be able to work well under pressure
• Should be able to multi-task & work independently & with a group

Applicants MUST be able cross international border with Canada (No DUI's or Felonies)
