Seasonal Housekeeper Wanted for Epic Alaskan Adventure at Remote Lodge!

Snug Harbor Outpost is located at a historic turn-of-the-century cannery renovated as a remote lodge on the picturesque Chisik Island. Our focal point is world-class bear viewing & offering guests an authentic Alaskan adventure. We're not just hosts; we're family, weaving the rich tapestry of our owners' generational connection to the cannery into a memorable experience for our guests. On the coast of the picturesque Chisik Island at a historic turn-of-the-century cannery, our lodge is a gateway to the wonders of the Alaskan wilderness. 

The Lodge Housekeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest spaces at our remote lodge. This individual will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms, the store, and dining area, ensuring that all areas are consistently neat and hygienic. Additionally, the Housekeeper will manage laundry services, adhering to a schedule based on the lodge's generator operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning Guest Spaces:

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and changing linens.
• Clean and sanitize guest bathrooms, ensuring they meet hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as the store and dining area, including dusting, sweeping, and organizing.

Laundry Management:

• Handle laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing as needed.
• Flip rooms in a timely manner.
• Maintain an organized laundry area and inventory of supplies.
• Adhere to a laundry schedule based on the operation of the lodge's generator.

Guest Interaction:

• Provide courteous and friendly service to guests and uphold the lodge's standards of hospitality.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other lodge staff members to coordinate cleaning schedules and tasks efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding any maintenance issues or special cleaning requirements.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote lodge setting.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and work requirements based on lodge operations.

Working Conditions:

• This position is based at a remote lodge, with accommodation provided on-site.
• Work hours may vary based on lodge occupancy and generator operation.
