Silverbow Inn in Juneau, Alaska is a sixteen-room boutique hotel that is hyper focused on providing guests with a delightful, fun, and quirky experience reflective of our unique property and location. Our goal is to surprise guests with the unexpected little touches that are absent at large, chain hotels – like sparkling rooms, rubber duckies and fresh baked cookies. We serve an eclectic mix of travelers seeking to stay somewhere different and special, be they adventurers or legislators. The Housekeeper Position:

As a housekeeper, you will be a crucial component of our meticulous operation. The cleanliness of our property sets a first impression for quality and demonstrates to guests how much we really care about their stay. Your daily responsibilities will include keeping Silverbow spotlessly clean, sparkling, and comfortable for our guests and providing the stellar customer service we are known for.

• Has an eye for detail and pays extra attention to guests’ needs and well-being by making rooms as clean and comfortable as possible
• Has excellent time management skills by allocating the right amount of time for each job and prioritizing the order of tasks.
• Enjoys the physical nature of cleaning and appreciates working independently.
• Appreciates how organization and cleanliness contribute to the enjoyment of guests and the successful operation of the hotel business.
• Loves Downtown Juneau, wants to learn more about Alaska, and is eager to share this enthusiasm with others.

The Job Duties:

• Take pride in maintaining the cleanliness of the inn - inside and out - by making our bedrooms, bathrooms, lobby, kitchen, and exterior spaces sparkle and shine using a variety of tools and cleaning products. 
• Follow standard protocols and complete all checklists. Always ask for additional training, if needed. 
• Reach, bend, twist, lift, push, pull, and climb lots of stairs (no more gym membership necessary!).
• Wash, dry and fold laundry.
• Communicate with coworkers throughout the day via walkie-talkie to report progress and ask for assistance.
• Be attentive and flexible to ensure we are exceeding guest expectations every day.
• Be friendly and engaging with a diverse range of people from around the world.
