Come live in the magic islands for the summer! Our small rustic store is in the heart of the San Juan Islands and is one of the oldest stores in the state of Washington. You'll work with a family and their employees who have run the 100 year old general store for 20 years. This year will be a special year since we will celebrate the store's Centennial!
You will learn to sell merchandise, roast and make coffee, stock shelves, scoop ice cream, wait on customers and interface with the public on a small island. The store is the only commercial enterprise allowed here and is bustling in the summer with islanders, visitors, and boaters who arrive at our dock or the Washington State Ferries dock outside the store.
We need workers to start in May (start date flexible) and continue through September 15th (can also be flexible) during our busy summer season. Some summer housing is available in trailers in the woods. The island is stunningly beautiful and a great place to be in the summertime!
