The Employee Experience
Our core values are:
- Safety First
- Honor Place
- Anticipate
- Bring Your Best
The Windsong Lodge offers an unforgettable summer experience. Living and working with people from all over the world, you’re sure to make friends for life. Located in an idyllic town between the sea and the mountains, there are numerous opportunities for adventure: hiking, kayaking, berry picking, whale watching, and so much more. Though it's the "Land of the Midnight Sun", there is active nightlife with live music and DJs at multiple venues around town.
Life in Seward
Seward is a picturesque, seaside town located on the Kenai Peninsula, with a population of approximately 2,500 residents in the winter & approximately 8,500 in the summer. Nestled between the shores of Resurrection Bay and surrounded by mountains, this small town is the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Seward is surrounded by breathtaking scenic beauty and offers incredible opportunities for exploration, recreation, and outdoor relaxation.
COVID-19: Safety first is our number one core value. We strive to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff. Pursuit follows all CDC guidelines and practices social distancing and other CDC protocols. We strongly encourage all staff to get vaccinated prior to arrival.
Ideal Candidate
What kind of adventurer thrives here? Our ideal candidate is someone who wants to truly experience all that Alaska has to offer and believes in what we do, striving to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. Every single role on our team is essential, and we’re selective to ensure our employees and our guests have the best experience possible. Our happiest employees are those who step in where needed and can bring their best, always ready to share their adventurous and generous spirit.
If you sincerely enjoy working with people and want to contribute to an amazing guest experience, while having an unforgettable and unique experience of your own, then we want you to work with us.
Room and Board
We provide optional on-site housing for our team members who are 18 years of age or older with cozy accommodations and all basic amenities at a rate of $10.00 per day. Housing is available on a first-come-first-served basis, though to support our staff coming from afar preference is given to our employees from out of town.
Our staff housing is made up of a room shared by two people, with full shared facilities at staff commons including showers, kitchen and living area with TV. All kitchens are equipped with refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, however, staff does need to provide their own cooking utensils. We also provide Wi-Fi, bedding and towels, and free on-site laundry facilities for employees living in our housing.
For staff living offsite, other housing options can be found in our local newspaper the “Seward Phoenix Log,” “The Seward City News," "The Seward Journal," or the Seward Housing Facebook Page.
For health reasons, we, unfortunately, are not able to accommodate four-legged friends in staff accommodation. Housing is a community experience, and we all follow guidelines and sign a housing agreement to help ensure a quality, peaceful living experience for everyone.
