- Coordinate all logistics for all NC residential Sea Turtle Camp programs, including lodging, transportation, meals, activities, and community service.

Site Director
Overview
The Overnight On-Site Director (SD) for Surf Camp, Inc. must be a multi-talented, service-oriented individual with a strong desire to provide a safe, fun, and enriching summer camp experience for staff and campers in an overnight camp setting. Our programs attract teens from all over the world who have the desire to learn how to surf, learn about marine biology, and experience the local culture and wildlife unique to North Carolina. Applicants must be passionate about marine stewardship, teaching, inspiring youth, and surfing. This position requires the candidate to work as part of a team to inspire, instruct, and provide care to several teams and groups of campers.
The SD will be responsible for the daily running of our Campus Facility, planning and facilitation of various evening activities, running the camp store, overseeing the kitchen, and logistical support. Logistics are a key element of our overnight programs and include equipment management and maintenance, evening program set-up and break-down, and other duties as assigned. This position will also assist with the coordination of the arrival and departure of campers. Last but not least, the SD must ensure that all staff and campers stay safe while having an awesome and life-enriching experience. This position reports to the Operations Director.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Activities primarily take place in North Topsail Beach at our Campus Facility with occasional office work in the Main Office in Wilmington, NC.
This seasonal position requires that individuals maintain a strong skill set in the following areas: organization, punctuality, and problem-solving, as well as having a solid attention to detail. These skills are crucial for you to provide the best possible experience for staff and campers. Programs do require work on weekends and holidays, though there is some time off between camps and/or during the week.
The following skills are crucial: goal setting, prioritization, strategy development, adherence to policies and procedures, and time management. It is of utmost importance to be proactive and forward-thinking.

Position Duration
Programs run from June 2- August 2 on Topsail Island, NC. All staff need to attend mandatory staff training beginning May 24 – May 31. Candidates would start at the beginning of May to prepare and assist in leading the mandatory staff training at the end of May. This position ends on August 3.

Program Coordinator
Overview
The Sea Turtle Camp Program Coordinator is responsible for the planning and coordination of Sea Turtle Camp’s 13-17 teen NC overnight camp. Our program attracts academically strong applicants who are interested in careers involving marine science, and they are required to complete an application process to attend, which includes academic references. During the summer months, we have three programs running simultaneously with approximately ten staff who are working as leaders, counselors, and educators. Our flagship Marine Biology Adventure and Immersion programs are run by two separate in-field teams led by a Unit Leader, a Camp Counselor, and a Marine Educator. The SCUBA team also has four counselors and partners with a local dive shop. We are seeking a candidate who has professional camp management experience, proven success with program and curriculum development and coordination, is committed to coastal conservation, is self-driven, and is extremely quality-oriented. It is expected that you will also be well-versed in all of Surf Camp, Inc.’s programs.

For the remaining nine months of the year, this position is responsible for preparing for the next season of camps. This includes marketing to prospective clients, coordinating camp logistics, new program development, and updating and creating new marketing materials, among other tasks.
Compensation
The salary for this position will be based on the candidate’s educational background and work experience. 2 weeks of PTO are included with additional PTO as compensatory time, $225/month health insurance, 6 paid holidays, monetary bonuses, and pro-deal opportunities.

Sea Turtle Camp is a division of our parent company, Surf Camp Inc. Surf Camp Inc. is made up of five divisions: Sea Turtle Camp, WB Surf Camp, Carolina Surf School, Cape Fear Paddleboarding, and Surf Berry. The Camp Counselor for SCUBA Camp must be a multi-talented and energetic individual with a passion to develop and provide marine science instruction to our high school aged campers. Applicants must possess a dedication to marine stewardship, teaching, and inspiring youth. In addition to marine science education, this position requires an individual prepared to give 24-hour supervision to our campers with their fellow team while they work to obtain their PADI SCUBA certifications.

Kitchen Staff
The Cook position must be a multi-talented individual with a strong desire to assist in the overall food-service operation including preparation, meal service, and sanitation. Applicant must provide nutritious, well-prepared meals and snacks for all campers, staff, and guests both on-site and for packed lunches. Applicants should have a passion for conservation and enjoy working with teens. The applicant is responsible for ensuring students have a safe, healthy, and filling dining experience.
Skills & Qualifications
Principal Responsibilities
During the summer months, we operate overnight marine biology and surf camps for teenagers
varying in length from 6 days up to 2 weeks. Additional staff members will assist you in the
preparation of and serving of all camp meals and snacks to approximately 100 people per meal.
Individuals must maintain a strong skill set in the following areas: sanitation and food preparation, as
well as have solid attention to detail. These skills are crucial in order for you to provide the best
possible experience for each camper. Programs do require work on weekends and holidays, though
there is some time off between camps to recharge.

Summer Support Staff
Support Staff are the behind the scenes magic-makers of camp - creativity is required! Assist any and all units and instructors as needed by substitute teaching, driving, setting up activities, repairing gear, and a million other things.
Overview
Residential Support Staff Counselors for Surf Camp Inc’s residential programs (WB Surf Camp, Sea Turtle Camp, and Carolina Ocean Odyssey) must be multi-talented, service-oriented individuals with a strong desire to support our surf and marine science-based teams, support campers (ages 9-18), and assist wherever needed. Our programs attract participants from all over the world that have the desire to learn how to surf, explore marine science, scuba dive, and engage in ocean adventure activities.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a passion for marine stewardship, teaching, and inspiring youth. This position requires candidates to work as part of a team to instruct and provide a safe learning environment to every group of participants.
Residential Support Staff Counselors will be responsible for completing a daily task list, assisting the Site Director whenever needed, logistical support with residential teams, program equipment management, the camp store, and any other duties assigned. Most importantly, Residential Support Staff Counselors must ensure that all staff and participants stay safe while having an awesome and life-enriching experience. No surf instruction experience is required for this position. Residential support staff counselors must be lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certified. This position reports to the Residential Site Director.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Working in collaboration with other staff members, you will assist the Site Director and residential field teams however possible; provide supervision and instruction for participants in the field as needed, fill in for field team staff as needed, and complete daily task lists. This position will head the camp store
and everything that entails, including managing inventory, sales, and our POS system.
This individual must maintain a strong skill set in the following areas:
Professionalism, organization, punctuality, problem solving, as well as have a solid attention to detail. These skills are crucial in order for you to provide the best possible experience for each participant. Programs require work on some
weekends and holidays.

Assistant On-Site Director

Overview
The Assistant On-Site Director for our residential summer programs must be a multi-talented individual with a strong ability to supervise all aspects of summer resident camp and provide an experience that encompasses ocean safety and marine science. Applicant must have a passion for ocean conservation, teaching, and inspiring staff and campers. Position will be based at our ocean-
view facility on Topsail Island, approximately 45 minutes north of Wilmington.
Will work closely with the On-Site Director and Operations Director, Residential Program Directors, and the entire WB Surf Camp & Sea Turtle Camp residential team. This position reports directly to the On-Site Director.
The Assistant On-Site Director will be responsible for supervising the implementation of daily camp activities for all our residential camp programs and will perform a variety of administrative duties.
This role requires a detail-oriented team player with the ability to see multiple concurrent tasks through to completion; including, providing logistics and support, coordinating arrival and departure of campers, planning and leading evening activities, serving as a substitute counselor, and van driving responsibilities. The Assistant On-Site Director must provide leadership, guidance, and feedback to all team members, as well as encourage, inspire, and teach both campers and staff. Last but not least, the Assistant On-Site Director must ensure all staff and campers stay safe while having
an awesome and life enriching experience.
Responsibilities and Duties

This position is responsible for supporting approximately 30 staff working as unit leaders, marine educators, camp counselors, surf instructors, lifeguards, and kitchen staff in conjunction with the On- Site Director. The Assistant On-Site Director may be required to live in camper housing and supervise
campers overnight on an as needed basis.
Individual must maintain a strong skill set in the following areas: organization, punctuality, problem solving, taking initiative, as well as have a solid attention to detail. These skills are crucial in order for you to provide the best possible experience for each camper. This position will be required work on weekends and holidays, though there is some time off during the week to recharge.
