First mate applicants must have prior sailing experience. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a leadership role. MMC credentials are preferred but not necessary.
All applicants must be available for the complete season (April 1st-end of October), have a good attitude, have a neat/clean appearance, be able to pass a USCG drug test, and able to lift 50lbs. Must have good people skills and able to work in a team environment.
Daily tasks include:
- Vessel maintenance (Sanding/painting/rig work)
- Line handling and knot work
- Keeping the vessel clean
- Interacting with guests
- Sail handling
- Food prep
- Dishes
- Small boat handling
- And of course, having a fun and safe summer sailing mid-coast Maine
This is a seasonal position April-October.
