Provide service to 5 food and beverage locations with over 11 million in annual sales.  Maintain Inventory and par levels of all food, beverage and consumables twice a week from over 25 purveyors.  Receive over 1000 cases daily, distribute to directed locations. Use correct receiving practices of invoice management, quality control, temperature awareness, communication of exceptions and recovery plan. Maintain organization and cleanliness of all storage areas; sheet to shelf, rotate use first items, employee education and product safety.  Continuing education of order guide product knowledge.

Barista- (Must work April 29, 2024 through October 3, 2024) Beech Tree Espresso is a high volume fast paced espresso and ice-cream shop, which features Starbucks Coffee®, fresh baked pastries, and some locally made ice cream. Guests love their early morning coffee, the smiling faces of the crew and love the smile that their family gets later in the day from an ice-cream treat. Beech Tree Espresso offers a refreshing snack for all members of the family with a friendly, engaging, and fast paced service.

Requirements include:

• Efficient at taking orders, multi-tasking, restocking stations, and maintaining a clean workplace.
• Friendly and positive personality that makes guests feel welcome and relaxed.

Then the café switches over to a café style lunch with burgers grilled sandwiches, fish & chips and fresh salads.  In the evening we make another shift and serve brick oven pizzas.  We use only the finest ingredients and are very proud of our wild yeast sourdough pizza dough.  We toss every pie by is hand tossed and custom made then baked to bubbly perfection, Lime Kiln Café is also a great place to get a fast, substantial meal. Lime Kiln Cafés menu is made from scratch with high quality local products.

Roche Harbor’s Madrona Bar & Grill is the summer dining hot spot on the island. With a large outdoor deck positioned over the water in the center of our active marina.  Our menu features local seafood, custom ground burgers, gourmet sandwiches and artistic organic salads & bowls with a large selection of tempting appetizers. We serve lunch and dinner for 11am to 10pm every day during the summer. Staffed with a five to six person line, this fast paced kitchen and menu are built for speed and will serve an average of 400 lunches and 500 dinners each day, with average ticket times of 8 to 10 minutes.

After our doors in 1958, we still serve our famed USDA Prime 10 hour Prime rib, fresh Northwest seafood, local shellfish and oysters and produce from all over our bountiful Island. The menu, food quality, and preparation at McMillin’s Dining Room have been bringing in regulars for decades. You are an ambassador of the resort as you greet guests when they arrive, offer assistance and concierge services throughout the duration of their stay and settle their accounts as they depart. As the first and the last person a guest interacts with, you are the first and last impression of our resort. You communicate with the rest of the hotel staff to ensure that we exceed our guest expectations.

Answer all incoming calls to the resort, filter and re-direct calls to the correct department per guest request. Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly. Supply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities. Additionally, supply to guest information about how to get to Roche Harbor. Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Guest Services, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Security) as necessary to resolve guest call, request, or problem. Follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met to their satisfaction. Secondary responsibilities include, confirming, creating, and canceling reservations as requested to do so by the Lodging Sales Manager.

Respond to special requests from guests with unique needs. Communicate VIP arrivals to designated personnel for escort and delivery of amenities. Travel into town for special requested items, VIP pickup, and item delivery on an as based need. Also, as an on-need bases back up Resort Reservations department when requested. An ideal candidate would have previous experience in hospitality and/or customer service and prior employment working with urgent and/or emergency situations. Additionally, a candidate must hold a valid driver’s license and either hold or be willing to obtain CPR/AED certification. Trainable attitude and willingness to drive golf carts on the main guest dock is a must.

Guest services is a department that supports all operations at the resort.  This position works nights, and is responsible assisting guests, transportation, and bell services.  Also responsible for building security, grounds patrol, parking and responding to urgent situations.  May perform some light maintenance.

Housekeeper (May through October 2024)- No Out of Country H2B: Works in the hotel to clean guest rooms, public areas and process laundry.  Must be able to work as a team player to ensure attention to detail and excellent guest experience. Lodging units range from single bed room without a bathroom, to four bedroom house with kitchen.

 Requirements include:

Roche Harbor Utilities is seeking a mechanically minded Utility Worker for our water, wastewater, and propane systems.  Once trained, the operator will be responsible for all aspects of the wastewater treatment plant, collection system operation and maintenance, and water distribution operation and maintenance and propane distribution system. Trainees will work under the supervision of the water, wastewater, and propane lead operator.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out the work in the maintenance and operation of a wastewater treatment plant, water treatment plant, Propane Plant, and associated collection/distribution systems.
• Obtain samples according to established procedures; perform standard laboratory tests; solve problems using standard chemical formulas and algebra.
• Hose, wash, or clean all plant equipment pumps, motors, floors, and walls on a regular schedule to maintain established sanitary standards.
• Maintain daily operating records, note equipment performance, chemicals and supplies used. Read and interpret meters, gauges, and graphs. take action as necessary in the event of malfunction or failure of equipment.
• Operates all plant mechanical and electrical equipment; contract emergency repairs as necessary; inspect and maintain equipment in sewer pumping stations and manholes.
• Inform plant operator and supervisor of any needed alterations, extensions and improvements to the plant, equipment, and processes.
• Reports to plant operator and supervisor.
• Performs related work as required.
• Work for other departments as directed.

Requirements of Work

Collections Staff is responsible for the day-to-day operations of registering our marina guests.  Walking from boat to boat registering our guests upon their arrival. Opening and closing procedures () and reconciling money every day.

Dock Staff -Welcome all resort guests and dock them upon arrival.  Duties include tying up boats, helping them with power, and telling them about marina and resort amenities.  Dock staff also help facilitate guest needs and are responsible for keeping dock tidy (garbage & recycling)
