As a family-owned restaurant, our menu is centered around our mother’s original recipes, but also includes new favorites from our chefs. We offer fresh local Alaskan seafood and a variety of steaks and chops, which can be paired with our extensive wine selection. Our annual season begins in April and runs through the end of September.
Seward is home to the Kenai Fjords National Park, which provides unique and breathtaking exploration opportunities whether by land, air, or sea.
About Rays Waterfront
Ray’s Waterfront has been serving guests for over 30 years. Situated overlooking Seward’s Small Boat Harbor, our guests regularly spot harbor seals or sea otters from their seats. Our prime location and traditional American seafood steakhouse menu provide visitors to Seward a dining experience second to none.
The Employee Experience
We are a diverse group with unique backgrounds and experiences from around the globe. Ray’s employs roughly 60 people each season, many of whom have been returning for years. It’s not uncommon to create long-lasting friendships here in Seward.
During your time off, there are virtually an unlimited number of outdoor activities available to you. Seward is home to the Kenai Fjords National Park, which provides unique and breathtaking exploration opportunities whether by land, air, or sea.

Room and Board
We do have housing. Rays provides 4-bedroom house shared living space. We also have private apartments or shared 2-bedroom apartment, Walking distance to downtown and Harbor. Its approval based. It does go fast. If you have questions about more housing, we can lead you in the right direction.
Getting Here and Getting Around
Fly into Anchorage International Airport (ANC). Arrange for a bus/shuttle, taxi, or other ride. Seward, AK is approximately 2 hours south of Anchorage.
Once employed, we also may be able to assist with initial transport to Seward.
In Seward, most things are within walking distance; bikes are encouraged, and a car is helpful for exploring the rest of the Kenai Peninsula.
