Unique Summer Employment Opportunity - Must Love Boats!

We are looking for people who love the outdoors and want to be part of an adventure loving team.  Orca Island Cabins is a special place owned and operated by a local family of long time Alaskans.  We live and work on the water and want people who share our passion.  Located 9 miles south of Seward, AK the property is only assessable by water.  Our staff ride out on a 30 minute to 1hr boat ride to get to work every day.  

The position is from May to September and unlike regular housekeeping opportunities in Seward, Orca Island Cabins pays a full day rate.  Imagine working in a place where Harbor Seals, Harbor Porpoise, River Otters, and so much more visit every day.  You never know what you might see.  Just a normal ride to work can encounter Dall's Porpoise racing with the vessel and playing in the wake of the boat.  Nothing short of amazing.  

Seasonal housing in Seward, AK is next to impossible to find but we have secured several units for our staff. The housing is shared but not more than two to a room which is not the case with almost all employee housing situations.  It is affordable and only available to our staff.  As a family owned and operated business, we treat our staff like family and care about making the summer an experience and not just a job.  At the end of a successful completion of the season we will reimburse travel for out of state staff.

Applicants Must:

• be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
• walk while carrying supplies over uneven terrain and boardwalks
• must be comfortable on boats
• be good communicators and customer service oriented
