SPORTING CLAYS INSTRUCTOR – SUMMER SEASON  June through September 20, 2024

The sporting clays instructor is responsible for providing high quality, positive, and safe shooting experiences for all participants. They assist setting up the clay shooting range and ensuring the equipment is in good working order and properly set up. They answer member/guest questions and assist as needed to ensure a unique, fun, safe outdoor experience for members and their guests. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:  

  • Assist with creating a fun and safe clay shooting experience for members and their guests.
  • Safely operate firearms and shoot range equipment.
  • Provide personalized shooting instruction for members and guests.
  • Oversee members as they use the range for self-guided sporting clays.
  • Safely operate XUVs on and off the road. 
  • Facilitate member events.
  • Check members in for lessons. 
  • Maintain range facilities. 
  • Restock clay launchers. 
  • Wash and fuel XUVs daily.   

KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one-year experience instructing outdoor activities
  • Experience teaching clay shooting.
  • Extensive experience with using and cleaning shotguns.
  • Experience with customer service. 
  • NSCA Recreational Instructor or similar certification preferred. 
  • Operate all terrain XUVs on and off trail. 
  • Valid driver’s license
