Getting Here and Getting Around
We highly recommend that staff bring their own vehicle so they can take advantage of all the amazing places close to the ranch on their time off. However, if they cannot bring a vehicle, we will pick them up and take them to the airport on arrival and departure. We are in a remote area, so you cannot really ride your bike into town. You would need your own vehicle to get around to other places. It is not an expectation for other staff to drive you around during your time here and ranch vehicles are not available for personal use. We encourage you to bring your own vehicle if possible.
For Fun
As we are surrounded by Federal Land, there are ample recreation opportunities for our staff to participate in. Lake Mancos State Park is located directly adjacent to the ranch and provides hiking trails, fishing holes, and ample space for water sports. The San Juan National Forest is just 3 miles away and is great for camping, hiking, biking, and 4x4 adventures. Hiking trails lead directly from the ranch onto the surrounding land. World class mountain biking is just minutes away. There are numerous fun mountain towns to take a day trip to as well. As we are so close to the four corners, you can easily head into Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico too. With 8 National Parks within a 4 hour drive, there is never a shortage of activities to enjoy.
