Amenities include 85 guest rooms, banquet and conference facilities, The Great Turtle Brewery and Distillery, and Mackinac Outfitter Sportswear Clothing shop.  Our impressive four-story atrium features the island's only indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub.  Our long porch right off Main Street is very popular with our guests as well as the island's tourists.

The Lake View operates between May 5th and October 29th.  Employment opportunities begin on April 10th.

The Lake View Hotel is situated at the end of Main Street on historic Mackinac Island. With 80% of the island protected by a Michigan State Park the island is flush with outdoor recreational activities while having a vibrant business community and tourism industry. Mackinac Island is the number one tourist destination in the Midwest. No cars are on the island, just bicycle, foot and horse traffic. It is like going back in time! With over 10,000 visitors a day it is a great place to live and play. 

We employ approximately 30 people over the course of the summer season from early May through October. We are looking for staff who are energetic and interested in meeting new people from other parts of the country as well as other cultures.

We are looking for both experienced and newcomers to the hotel industry with a great work ethic and the ability to smile. We'll teach you the rest! If you like working with the public in a fun atmosphere and would like to help families have fun on their vacation, give us a call.

Housing is available and consists of both dormitory-style rooms and shared apartments.  All units require a bedroom with a roommate.

All units are non-smoking and pets are not permitted at any time. All housing has cooking areas, coin laundry, Cable TV, and wireless internet is available.

Rent is figured on a weekly basis. Employees are responsible for their own sheets, linens, and personal items.

Mackinac Island is located between Michigan's Upper and Lower Peninsulas. For those who arrive by automobile, there is frequent ferry service to the Island from both Mackinaw City and St. Ignace with ample seasonal parking facilities.

Commercial airlines from Detroit provide daily service to the Pellston Airport just 12 miles south of the Mackinaw City. Taxi service between the Pellston Airport and Mackinac City ferry docks is available.

There are no cars on Mackinac Island. Transportation is by horse-drawn carriages or bicycles. Consider bringing your bike!
