    Housekeeping

    Housekeeping Assistant Manager

    $19.00 - $20.00 / hour
    Denali National Park

    The Housekeeping Assistant Manager is part of the team that creates the foundation of an excellent stay at the property.  You and your team provide a pleasant and comfortable experience for guests and team members, ensuring that all our visitors have a clean home-away-from-home. You will be inspecting the cleanliness and sanitization of guest rooms and guest areas while supporting the safety standards and assisting guests when needed. The Housekeeping team is made up of a diverse group of inspiring and passionate individuals who have fun working together daily.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure all assigned rooms and/or areas are clean and sanitized by the end of the shift 
    • Communicate with supervisors and other team members for service or technical updates, requests, or concerns. 
    • Maintain organization for all housekeeping storage areas, ensuring they are clean of clutter and free from cross-contamination.  
    • Complete regular projects and deep cleaning 
    • Interact and communicate with guests, providing property-specific and local information, answering questions, and communicating concerns to the supervisor, creating memorable moments for our guests. 
    • Encourage, support, and present informational topics in accordance with our HESS Safety Culture. 

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must pass a pre-employment background check. 
    • Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
    • Participates in HAP’s sustainability program, aka “Sustain Alaska & the Yukon”, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment.

    Food and Beverage

    Baker

    $19.00 - $20.00 / hour
    Denali National Park

    Utilizes commercial kitchen tools and equipment with elevated standards of quality and attention to detail to provide fresh baked goods for our dining venues. Come live a summer of adventure and memories, both creating your own and for others. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Food production, working a commercial kitchen in a fast-paced environment. 
    • Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment, kitchenware, chemicals, and linens. 
    • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces. 
    • Stocking kitchen, rotating and organizing product. 
    • Completing sanitization and food safety protocols and logs with assistance and direction from management. 

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Culinary certification completion or one-year experience in a commercial bakery is required. 
    • Must be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler Card. 
    • Must pass a pre-employment background check. 
    • Minimum age of 18 years required to reside in company housing, where available.

    Housekeeping

    Houseperson

    $16.00 - $16.50 / hour
    Denali National Park

    House persons are the foundation of an excellent stay at the property.  You provide a pleasant and comfortable experience for guests and team members, ensuring that all our visitors have a clean home-away-from-home. You will be preparing each guest room to be cleaned by the room attendants; supporting the safety standards, and assisting guests as the need arises. The Housekeeping team is made up of a diverse group of inspiring and passionate individuals who have fun working together daily. Finish your day in the afternoon and be able to enjoy adventures in the Midnight Sun! 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Removing dirty linens and rubbish from guest rooms and transporting it to laundry or dumpsters. 
    • Delivering amenities and linens to guest rooms or housekeeping closets. 
    • Communicate with supervisors and other team members for service or technical updates, requests, or concerns. 
    • Maintain organization for all housekeeping storage areas, ensuring they are clean of clutter and free from cross-contamination.  
    • Complete regular projects and deep cleaning. 
    • Interact and communicate with guests, providing property-specific and local information, answering questions, and communicating concerns to supervisors while creating memorable moments for our guests. 
    • Assisting in other areas of housekeeping as needed (cleaning guest rooms, folding laundry).

    Food and Beverage

    Line Cook

    $19.00 - $20.00 / hour

    Our Cooks create culinary experiences for our guests that they remember long after their vacation is over. You will prepare carefully crafted dishes with local ingredients whenever possible with elevated standards of quality and presentation. You are an integral part of the team and help to provide reliability, dependability and a positive attitude to our high energy kitchens. Live a summer of adventure and memories, both creating your own and for others.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prepare and produce food per Company recipes and specifications on a kitchen line and prep area in a fast-paced environment.
    • Food preparation and stocking workstation to ensure success for business demands.
    • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces.
    • Stock kitchen, organize product, inspect food quality.
    • Completing food safety protocols and logs with assistance and direction from management. 
    • Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler Card.
    • Must pass a pre-employment background check that could include a credit check.

    Guest Services

    Luggage Handler

    $15.00 - $16.00 / hour + tips
    Denali National Park

    When preparing for a vacation, some spend days planning and packing the perfect outfit or bringing the right essentials to make their vacation run as smoothly and as comfortably as possible. As a luggage handler, you make sure all their packed belongings arrive at their new home-away-from-home. You and the rest of the team work together to collect, load, and disperse luggage daily to ensure our guests’ belongings follow them on their Alaskan journey. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Transfers luggage to and from guest rooms from loading areas and a variety of vehicles. 
    • Organize, sort, tallies, tag, and labels guest luggage daily. 
    • Heavy lifting is a core part of the job.
    • Ensures safe storage, and collects and distributes ticketing of guests' personal items and hand-carry luggage. 
    • Greet guests and provide escort or transportation to rooms and other locations as needed.  
    • Deliver messages, and guest amenities, and run errands while providing excellent customer service in a prompt and courteous manner. 
    • Assists with misplaced and damaged luggage. 
    • Communicates frequently with supervisors and other team members via radio for service or technical updates, requests, or concerns. 
    • Assist with guest service, front desk, and housekeeping duties during peak busy times and unexpected events, such as power outages. 
    • May respond to alarms and assist in the events of an emergency in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
