Galena Lodge is an incredible place to live and work. We are located 23 miles north of Ketchum Idaho in the middle of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area with 40+ miles of mountain biking and hiking trails out our doorstep. We are a beloved community-owned lodge serving many local customers as well as tourists. At Galena, your coworkers will quickly become your "Galena Family" and you will work hard and play even harder after work whether you are mountain biking, backpacking, flyfishing, paddleboarding, going to trivia in town or just enjoying a good book in a hammock.

The baker/prep cook position entails mixing and baking cookies, muffins, breads and other pastries on a daily basis and other baked good for special events. In addition to daily baking, this position includes assisting in kitchen prep and supporting the line cooks. Galena Lodge baking includes making everything from scratch, learning about high altitude baking and this is a great opportunity to learn and improve skills, as well as be creative.

Housing: Free room and board provided in cabins, apartments, yurts etc. (some shared). We have a commercial kitchen full of delicious food that you are welcome to eat and cook after hours. 

Dates: Training starts May 31st and the season ends September 18th. 

Requirements:  Previous kitchen and/or baking experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right, enthusiastic candidate.
