    Our all-inclusive dude ranch now provides wine, beer, and liquor! Join our Saddle Sore Saloon Bartending team for our 2023 season!

    Accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Works with the Executive Chef, Group Sales Coordinator and FLL management team to execute all events, on-site activities, and conferences.
    • Works closely with the Group Sales Coordinator for event set up, tear down, cleaning and working the events
    • Responsible for beverage set up in coordination with the Group Sales Coordinator and Executive Chef for all events and activities at the conference center, event locations and Saddle Sore Saloon
    • Maintains the conference center & outdoor event facilities. Including: cleaning, watering, stocking supplies, etc.
    • Maintain and improve Inventory management
    • Works with the Executive Chef to develop the Saddle Sore Saloon Wine List
    • Help establish local beverage connections and helping expose guest to the local products
    • Maintains desired margins and price standards determined by FLL management
    • Help as needed with bartending and waitstaff services and fill in throughout the Ranch as needed
    • Must be capable of being on your feet for up to 8 hours a day, as well as lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
    • This position reports to the Executive Chef.

    Compensation package at FLL: Hourly wage starting at $10.50 plus overtime, a full share in the TIP pool paid out every two weeks along with payroll (historically averages $12 per hour), Staff housing and/or meals provided for a nominal fee, Free laundry facilities & Wi-Fi, Access to all in-house activities offered to Guests, Gift shop & Family discounts, Monthly hosted staff events and FLL swag!

    Dining Room Servers

    Do you enjoy working with people and creating authentic relationships? Join our Dining room service team and provide a high-quality dining experience for our guests.

    Dining Room Servers are accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Responsible for the operations of the Dining Room and Front of House guest experience in regard to all facets of the food and beverage service.
    • Works with Executive Chef and Dining Room Lead to relay and portray the best service possible while meeting the guests’ dining needs
    • Tending to and cleaning ALL Dining areas and taking out the garbage
    • Assist with dishwashing when needed
    • Is responsible for the cleanliness, set up, tear down and general presentation of all food and beverage operations
    • Works with Executive Chef and Dining Room Lead to execute desired service style for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
    • Works with guest to assists with special orders, dietary needs and allergy issues
    • Responsible for set up, service and clearing of all meals
    • Responsible for portraying a first-class service and hospitality experience in a genuine western setting
    • Following the dress code during all shifts
    • Works with the kitchen to mitigate and best solve any potential guest issues in the best interest of the guest
    • Must be capable of being on your feet for up to 8 hours a day, as well as lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

    Service Team

    Looking for an authentic western experience this summer on the shores of Flathead Lake? Join our housekeeping team and enjoy everything our lodge and Northwestern Montana has to offer.

    Service Team members are accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Execution of daily housekeeping tasks
    • Daily upkeep and care of all facilities and accommodation’s
    • Laundry facilities to ensure a high quality of supplies and guest services care
    • Completing all housekeeping duties including but not limited to: making beds, vacuuming, dusting, mopping sweeping, restocking towels and bedding, cleaning bathrooms etc.
    • Performing other ranch duties assigned to Housekeeping such as watering flowers, washing FLL vehicles inside and out, polishing stemware and flatware, recycling, etc.
    • Managing linen and amenity supplies within facilities and accommodations and assuring guests are always stocked with the proper and fresh quantities
    • Portraying a friendly guest service atmosphere and approach through all aspects of your job
    • Performing a first-class level of housekeeping and meeting expectations of exceptionally clean accommodations and facilities
    • Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
    • Willingness to help in other departments or wherever needed on the Ranch
    • Must be capable of being on your feet for up to 8 hours a day, as well as lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

    The best recipes are handed down family secrets! Help us provide delicious desserts and snacks with our original recipes like our famous Undone Brownies!

    Bakers are accountable for, but not limited to the following:

    • Works with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef & Baker to execute the daily food service needs of FLL.
    • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
    • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
    • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff and baking staff
    • Answer, report and follow Executive or Head Baker’s instructions
    • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
    • Stock inventory appropriately
    • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
    • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
    • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
    • Willingness to help in other departments or wherever needed on the Ranch.

    Dishwashers are accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and send through dish machine.
    • Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas.
    • Change dishwater in dish machine every hour.
    • Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
    • Remove trash and garbage to dumpster.
    • Set up or break down dishwashing area.
    • Clean and roll/unroll mats.
    • Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
    • Sweep/mop floors.
    • Assemble/disassemble dish machine.
    • Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster.
    • Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
    • Notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
    • Do not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.
    • Must be capable of being on your feet for up to 8 hours a day, as well as lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

    Archery Instructor

    Flathead Lake Lodge has an awesome new 3D archery course, and we need someone to safely teach our guests how to use bows and arrows.

    Archery Instructors are accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Developing, managing, and coordinating all programing and guest activities associated with Archery
    • Working with all FLL departments to create the best guest experience possible
    • Leading guests of all ages on organized and informative excursions
    • Maintenance of the Archery equipment and trail
    • Reporting for work ready and with the essential gear needed
    • Give a detailed safety briefing and assess each guest on their ability to participate in the activity
    • Provides only first-class service and hospitality in helping all guests.
    • Perform other duties as needed throughout the Ranch

    Mountain Bike Guide

    Explore our new on-property mountain bike trails and share your passion for mountain biking!

    Mountain Bike Guides are accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Developing, managing, and coordinating all programing and guest activities associated with the Mountain biking activities
    • Developing new guest activities across Mountain Biking operations at Flathead Lake Lodge. Activities that are built on Flathead Lake Lodge’s vision, operating principles, and culture
    • Knowledgeable of all aspects of the guest experience, ranch history, Bigfork, and surrounding area.
    • Leading guests of all ages on organized and informative excursions
    • Maintenance of the FLL Mountain Bike fleet
    • Outline the Mountain Biking schedule
    • Reporting for work ready and with the essential gear needed
    • Greeting each guest, brief them on the plans for the activity, fit a bike to them, and transport to trails
    • Giving a detailed safety briefing and assessing each guest on their ability to participate in the activity
    • Safely operating a 15-passenger van on local roads and highways – MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD
    • Provides only first-class service and hospitality in helping all guests.
    • understanding the work first nature of the FLL & QC and is willing to work in, around, and outside the set job description as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • Must be capable of being on your feet for up to 8 hours a day, as well as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds

    Do you love outdoor recreation? This summer enjoy guiding our guests on paddle board trips, river floating, hiking, and more!

    Outdoor Activity Guides are accountable for, but not limited to:

    • Executes the daily FLL schedule with the highest level of guest service and enthusiasm
    • Working with all FLL departments to create the best guest experience possible
    • Working with the Outdoor Pursuits Manager on a wide variety of ranch-related jobs and duties
    • Efficiently coordinate, operate, and assist in guest activities which include, but is not limited to:
      • Hiking, mountain biking, children’s program, teen program, elk preserve tours, breakfast camp, bartending, paddleboard trips, airport runs, and shuttle driving
    • Maintaining a safety-first approach onsite at all times
    • Safely operating a 15-passenger van on local roads and highways – MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD
    • Lead Groups on recreational outings
    • Maintaining a first-class presentation of the grounds and facilities for guest enjoyment
    • Reporting for work ready and with the essential gear needed
    • Maintain a positive and professional approach with fellow staff and guests
    • Other duties when assigned
    • Must be capable of being on your feet for up to 8 hours a day, as well as lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs.
    • This position reports to the Outdoor Pursuits Manager
