Private Eco-Preserve Immersed in the High Peak Region of the Adirondack Mountains.
Elk Lake is the centerpiece of a 12,000 acre private preserve cradled in the High Peaks of New York's Adirondack Mountains. This is a world that is unchanged in hundreds of years - a timeless place that offers a unique wilderness experience, a place to enjoy the silence, the clean air, the unspoiled natural beauty - increasingly rare in modern life.
We are located in the remote Adirondack wilderness in upstate New York.
About Elk Lake Lodge
Elk Lake Lodge, a turn-of-the-century, family-owned wilderness lodge accommodating fifty guests, is known for its breathtaking views, forty miles of private trails, and access to the Dix and High Peaks Wilderness areas.
Enjoy swimming and paddling in the pristine waters of Elk Lake and Clear Pond, hike the challenging Dix Mountain Range, or meditate by the Branch River. We are inspired by hikers, but beckons to outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds.
We are remote and encourage you to look us up on Google Earth. Wifi and cell service are only available in the Main Lodge, (employee housing is located in the Main Lodge so you "late-night Netflix watchers" are all set ;), but once you step foot off the front porch you are disconnected and free to roam on the 12,000 acres of eco-preserve.
