About Denali BrewPub

Denali Brewpub sits at the heart of beautiful downtown Talkeetna, Alaska.  Nestled at the base of Denali (formerly known as Mt. McKinley), Talkeetna begins to awaken in the early Spring.  The sleepy village stretches and yawns as climbers from all over the world arrive to make their attempt at summiting "The High One".  Soon after, the train whistle blows, the town fully wakens and visitors descend, turning Talkeetna into a bustling center of activity!

Denali Brewpub is an employee-owned company and we pride ourselves on our culture of teamwork. Our team shares all restaurant responsibilities front to back of house.

Here at Denali Brewpub, we prepare food using locally grown when possible. Our season is May through September, could possibly work into year-round employment. Denali Brewpub has a very welcoming, fun, and busy environment.

The Employee Experience

At Denali Brewpub, we work hard and play hard - and we think it's important to have fun doing both!  Our employees are committed to the success of the team, to the quality of food and beverages we produce, and to the satisfaction of our guests.  The result is a fun, supportive environment that keeps our seasonal workers coming back year after year.

Ideal Candidate

Our most successful employees are those that embrace our culture of teamwork and ownership.  It takes all of us working hard every day to give our guests the best experience possible.  We speak kindly, we respect each other and we look out for each other.

Room and Board

We do not provide employee housing, but maintain relationships with local landlords.  We will provide a list of contacts to help with making housing arrangements.

Employees are provided a 60% meal discount on days they work.

Employee Perks

In addition to employee meal discounts, we offer discounted employee pricing on draft and to-go beverages, and generous merchandise discounts at Denali Brewpub, the Denali Brewing Company Tasting Room and Denali Brewing's Mercantile.

Most local tour and adventure companies offer significant discounts or comps to employees of Denali Brewpub.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Most of our seasonal employees do make arrangements to have their own transportation, but there are options for those who don't!  Much of the available housing in Talkeetna is within walking distance of the Brewpub.

Looking for more ways to get around?

Sunshine Transit offers local bus transportation, http://www.sunshinetransit.org/

With a large seasonal staff, you may find rideshare opportunities for grocery trips to Wasilla or Anchorage.

For Fun

Opportunities for adventure abound, with world-class outdoor activities available seven days a week.  Explore the trails on foot, by bike, or on an ATV.  Take in the scenic beauty on a flightseeing or jetboat tour.  Zipline and rappel through the northern boreal forest, experience the glacier-fed rivers on a rafting adventure, or "mush on" with a dog sled tour.

Denali Arts Council provides live music concerts in the park on Friday evenings, as well as a variety of theater performances, art shows, and other entertainment.  There are a number of music festivals throughout the season and local establishments feature live music most nights of the week.

We celebrate the end of each summer season with an employee bash.  Throughout the season, we often have groups of employees getting together to set up outings to one of the many area lakes, camping destinations, and other outdoor activities.
