Cromwell Harbor Motel in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine is a small, local family-owned and operated property since 1987.  “The Cromwell” is a true “mom & pop” business.  We take great pride in our property while providing exceptional service to our guests, many of whom return to stay with us year after year!

We are seeking mature, friendly individuals to join our housekeeping team, assisting us with providing the excellent service our guests have become accustomed to here at “The Cromwell”! 

While we prefer to hire people with hotel/motel cleaning experience, we are willing to train the right person.  All applicants must be legally able to work in the United States.  We are not an H2B Visa sponsor.

The position starts in early May and will continue through late October/early November.  Preference is given to applicants who can work the entire season, start to finish. 

Housekeeping is a physically demanding job that requires the ability to climb stairs with full laundry baskets, a vacuum, and a cleaning caddy in addition to the normal bending, kneeling, and reaching that comes along with housekeeping.  Our motel is well known for being exceptionally clean.  A keen eye for detail is a must!

Housekeeping hours fall between 9am and 3pm daily with a work week up to 6 days per week.  Weekly hours and days off vary week to week depending on the needs of the motel.

We also have one unique position to fill.  We like to have one extra person on staff as a backup to our core staff of 3 people.  This position helps bridge the gap with any known or unknown circumstances that arise during the season.  Anybody considering this position must be prepared to work 0 - 7 days a week.  

Our daytime schedule and Maine’s long hours of summertime daylight facilitate excellent opportunities for our staff to explore downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park after work!

We have on-site housing for our staff.  Our four-bedroom apartment is fully furnished, and very clean, with high-speed internet provided.  Each staff member has their own bedroom with a private bathroom.  The kitchen and laundry facilities are shared by all four staff members.
