Course Guide
You'll be part of our team of hard-working, fun-having, adventure facilitators operating in a fast-paced outdoor setting.
You'll be responsible for lots of different roles as a Course Guide, but most importantly creating a positive and memorable experience for each and every CAP participant! Other functions include providing awesome customer service, being able to work under pressure, sharing genuine enthusiasm for the outdoors and our local area, general site upkeep, and following and enforcing the course rules.
No experience is necessary as we offer a paid training to learn all the technical rescue skills necessary to breeze through the course like a superhero to help anyone in need even at 60 ft in the air! In the most basic description you will be working with small team each day to open our course before taking groups of climbers through a suit up and rules speech then up to the course. You will work with your fellow guides to man each floor of our 4 level course and provide help when necessary before cycling back inside to break for inside duties that could include cleaning, gear sorting or working our small bar. You work 5 days a week at 8 hour shifts to meet 40 hrs a week. All of our scheduling is done via an online platform where you can see your schedule up to 2 weeks in advance.
While your day-to-day will be focused on providing all the motivation and psych to our climbers on the course there is more to our park than just the course. In the "shoulder seasons" meaning spring and fall, there will be opportunity to learn and gain experience in any of the following areas should they interest you; course maintenance, painting and creative development of both the course, bar and check-in building, light construction, landscaping and gear maintenance.
We strive to create a growth oriented experience for our staff to the best of our ability. We strive to find passions and strengths that each individual brings to the table and find a way to facilitate and include those skills in our operation.
How to Apply
WE ARE FULLY STAFFED FOR 2024 AND NO LONGER CONDUCTING INTERVIEWS OR HIRING. ANY APPLICATIONS RECEIVED WILL BE HELD FOR BACKUP POSITIONS. Otherwise you will not hear back from us at this point. We will begin hiring for the 2025 season in late December. Thank you so much for your time and interest.
