Camp Counselor
Camp Skylemar seeks college students and recent graduates to work as Counselors this summer. Our mission is to make a positive impact in the world, one child at a time. At Skylemar, you will be a hero and leader while teaching, coaching, and mentoring kids. You will be mentored and develop dynamic skills within our creative and collaborative community. Staff orientation and weekly in-service training sessions provide a foundation to assume summer responsibilities. You’ll create lifelong friendships and connections.
Activities include:
· Sports: lacrosse, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, hockey, archery, football, biking, soccer & volleyball.
· Arts, Music & Sciences: photography, theatre arts, culinary arts, science, woodshop, art, video production, crafts, piano, graphic design & guitar.
· Water Sports: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, sailing, water-skiing, wake-boarding, wake-surfing, water polo & fishing.
· Outdoor Adventure: ropes course, climbing, hiking, camping & outdoor skills.
Applicants must have completed at least one year of college. Salary packages start at $3,200.00. We also provide free housing, meals, round-trip transportation expenses, WIFI, staff clothing, time off, and laundry service. The camp season runs from June 16 to August 11. Outdoor Recreation Staff
Spend your summer outside in Maine. Skylemar outdoor staff teach classes, promote leadership and lead/oversee hikes and camping trips. We also have a ropes course that consists of several high and low elements as well as a climbing wall. The state of Maine is more than a destination – it’s an experience that will take your breath away. In summer, there’s no better place to be than in Maine. From the beaches to the mountains, there’s so much to explore and enjoy during your free time. No experience necessary. We provide training and mentorship.
Sailing and Boating Instructors
Camp Skylemar seeks instructors to teach sailing, canoeing, kayaking or paddleboarding this summer. No previous teaching experience required as we provide training. We also provide US Sailing and Red Cross lifeguard certifications.
Swim Instructors
Camp Skylemar has job and internship openings for swim coaches this summer. Our mission is to make a positive difference in the world, one child at a time. Swim lessons are taught in small groups or one on one. The setting is spectacular and well maintained, with 200 acres of fields and forest, and best of all, Trickey Pond. Known as one of the States cleanest and most transparent body of water, Trickey Pond is the ideal setting for our popular and well-managed swimming and boating program. We provide all training and free Red Cross lifeguard certification.
Waterski, Wakeboard/Surf Instructors
If kids are fun to you, if you enjoy teaching and water-skiing, wake-surfing or wakeboarding, if you like being with great people, and if you’re a responsible role-model, this is the perfect summer job (June 16 to August 11). No previous teaching experience required. We provide lifeguard, first, cpr and boat driver training. Skylemar is located on a three-mile-long, beautiful spring-fed lake. We aim to make a positive difference in the world, one child at a time.
