Our counselors live, play, eat, sing, swim, and explore with a cabin group of up to 16 campers. Counselors support each camper’s unique physical (hygiene, medical needs, eating, sleeping, safety), social (teamwork, cabin dynamics, conflict management), mental (attention, engagement), spiritual (faith-based reflections and activities), and emotional (safety, security, comfort) needs. Counselors and campers are assigned to cabin groups with at least one staff member for every 8 campers. In addition to supporting the day-to-day needs of campers, Counselors lead formal and informal group activities with their cabin groups and participate in all-camp programming.

TIME COMMITMENT

  • International Staff Arrival and Orientation - June 20-22, 2024
  • Program Staff Training - June 24 - June 29, 2024
  • Specialized Training - July 1 - July 3, 2024
  • Summer Program - July 8 - August 10, 2024


COMPENSATION

  • $450/week for 6.5 weeks + room & board; eligible for $250 end-of-summer bonus for good performance and working the full season ($3,175 for full summer)
  • Note: Take-home compensation for international staff may vary based on fees owed to visa sponsor organizations

TIME-OFF

  • Weekday Breaks: 3 hour break/day Tuesday - Friday
  • Weekend Break: 2 PM Saturday - 8 AM Monday

  • Specialized certifications and training provided at no cost, including Lifeguard training, First Aid/CPR Certification, Archery & Slingshot Instructor training, Low Ropes/Team Building Instructor training

LODGING

  • Counselors will live in a cabin with up to 16 campers and one additional staff member. Counselors will sleep in the main cabin with campers, but will have access to a separate staff room to store belongings and change.
