Bull Hill Guest Ranch, located in northeastern Washington State, sits at the foothills of the majestic Rocky Mountains near British Columbia, Canada. Sweeping panoramic views of neighboring Idaho, Lake Roosevelt and Canada provide a backdrop setting that is one of the most picturesque in the Pacific Northwest. Opened in 1995, Bull Hill Guest Ranch is part of a large working cattle ranch that dates back to 1903. Rich in history and tradition, the ranch today has become a favored destination for families, corporate retreats and the outdoor adventurer who is looking for authentic western living amidst the tall pines and cedars.

We're seeking a skilled and passionate cook who puts love and attention into the food that they make. As a Bull Hill Cook, you'll play a crucial role in creating memorable meals that enhance the overall ranch adventure for our guests. Our cooks are friendly and professional individuals with a good work ethic and the ability to show up on time for work at 6:00am when scheduled. Our cooks are creative, always willing to show their “chops” in the kitchen, and can provide top notch customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of delicious and hearty meals for guests, accommodating dietary preferences and restrictions.
- Plan and execute menus for up to 40 people.
- Collaborate with ranch staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations, including assisting with ordering, managing inventory, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
- Provide exceptional hospitality by engaging with guests, accommodating special requests, and delivering a dining experience that exceeds expectations.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
- Help maintain cleanliness and the atmosphere of the Cookhouse and patio.
- Assist with weekly town runs in a ranch vehicle to restock ranch needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cook.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and guest preferences.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes.
Requirements:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a kitchen environment.
- Passion for good and tasty food!
- Positive and hardworking attitude.
- Work independently and with a team.
