The Employee Experience

What do I like about working at Alaska's Gold Creek Lodge?

I love working and living in Alaska. You never know what you will see when you walk out of your door. There are bears, moose, wolves, and lynx who are regulars around the lodge. I love the peacefulness of the wilderness environment. At the end of a long workday, I like to walk down to the dock and sit and listen to the evening nature sounds. The fish jumping, the loon off in the distance, there really isn't anything better. I also love the variety of people that I get to meet. We get guests from all walks of life from around the world. It's fun to sit around the campfire in the evenings with the guests and chit chat about their different adventures. I can say that it never ceases to amaze me all the things I learn each season. Working and living with staff can be trying, however each season I have made incredible life long friends who grow to be like family by the end of the season. If you love people and the outdoors, then this is the place for you.
