The Employee Experience
Our core values are:
- Safety First
- Honor Place
- Anticipate
- Bring Your Best
Often, we hear our employee say that working here is an "adventure of a lifetime". We offer an experience like no other. It can't be compared to any other "job" because it's so much more. You are in an iconic place, surrounded by untouched wilderness and wildlife. This is the "real Alaska" where you engage with people from all over the world who want to be inspired.
COVID-19: Safety first is our number one core value. We strive to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff. Pursuit follows all CDC guidelines and practices social distancing and other CDC protocols. We strongly encourage all staff to get vaccinated prior to arrival.

Our ideal candidate is someone who wants to truly experience all that Alaska has to offer and believes in our mission. We are selective to ensure our employees and our guests have the best experience possible during their stay. Each job is important. Getting Here and Getting Around
If you live out of the State of Alaska, you have two choices to get here.
By Car: This is the choice for the most adventurous or for those who have the time to enjoy one of the most beautiful rides on earth. In general, it’s best to arrive in Anchorage a few days before your first day of work. You may want to do some last minute shopping in Anchorage, as there is not much available in Denali.
By Plane: Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is your best choice. It is served by major and commuter airlines. Most flights into Anchorage are in the late afternoon or evening, which is too late to catch our bus or any other type of transportation service to Denali Park entrance area. We will offer transportation from Anchorage to Denali only on specific pre-scheduled dates.
If you can’t make our scheduled staff bus departure, you will have to catch the train or Park Connection to Denali. Details about the Park Connection will be provided to you.
For those arriving via the Alaska Railroad, we will pick you up at the train depot.
While working at the Denali Cabins, employees have access to our shuttle system that runs throughout the day.
For Fun
While living on-site at the Denali Cabins or the Denali Backcountry Lodge there are a number of activities that you can enjoy. The following list is not comprehensive by any means, but it does give you an idea of the types of activities you can be involved in.
- Fishing
- Hiking
- Backpacking
- Wildlife Tours
- Photography
- Mountain Biking
- Overnight stays at our lodges
- Flightseeing Tours
- ATV Riding
- Rafting
- Dog Mushing Tours
- Jet Boat Tours

Please keep in mind that while we provide a number of these opportunities through our businesses, many tours are offered through our partners. In some cases, these tours may be free of charge, but in other cases, you may have to pay a discounted rate to participate in some activities.
