Absaroka Mountain Lodge has 15 log cabins and a small restaurant.  We offer horseback rides, nightly campfires, and tranquility along the banks of gorgeous Gunbarrel Creek.  Are you looking for a very unique summer job?  One that has the potential to make lifelong friends and lasting memories? At Absaroka Mountain Lodge, we work hard and play hard.  If you like to hike, there are endless opportunities to explore the hundreds of trails in and around Yellowstone.  If fishing is your thing, we have a creek that is known for its Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout, and the vast Shoshone River beckons just steps away from the Lodge.

The opportunity for wildlife viewing is around every corner--and sometimes right out your front door!  It is not uncommon to see grizzly bears, black bears, deer, bighorn sheep, buffalo, fox, moose or even mountain goats come strolling through our complex.  After all, we do live and work in their backyard. Your adventure awaits!

We are looking for mature, hardworking, self-motivated, individuals to fill positions of Cabin Cleaner/Server, Kitchen Aid/Cook and Wranglers who take pride in accomplishing an honest day's work and have the integrity to respect themselves, our guest, their co-workers and employer. This job requires commitment and a positive attitude. All staff members must be willing to work hard, pitch in and do many different jobs when asked.

We need employees from May until late September.

All of our staff members live onsite in bunkhouse style accommodations provided by Absaroka Mountain Lodge. Each employee shares a room with 1 other staffer. We have Male and Female bunkhouses; each has its own bathroom that is shared with your bunkmates. We have a separate employee dining area in the main lodge. Staff meals are offered from the employee menu at no cost with few exceptions to staff members. There are no accommodations available for couples.

If you are hired and become part of our team, we believe you will have a satisfying and rewarding summer.  You will be given the opportunity to meet, work, and play with people from all over the country, as well as the world.  You will have the chance to go horseback riding, fishing, and hiking in a truly spectacular mountain setting. The town of Cody offers many attractions and activities: river rafting, shopping, rodeos, and museums to name just a few.

Our Staff are also welcome to join our horseback rides free of charge during their time off.

Compensation includes salary, tips, housing and meals. Bonuses will be given to those who have completed the agreed upon dates of their contract.

Our lodge is located on the eastern edge of Yellowstone National Park, only 12 miles from the east gate.

Because we are located 39 miles from Cody, Wyoming, all staff are highly encouraged to be able to bring their own vehicle for their convenience in traveling to Yellowstone, Cody and the surrounding area.

On your time off, you're encouraged to enjoy your surroundings and all the activities the ranch has to offer such as horseback riding, fly fishing, hiking, etc. The east entrance to Yellowstone Park is only 12 miles away! Also many activities to enjoy in Cody, Wyoming.
