The 320 Guest Ranch offers an authentic guest ranch experience to our guests. Homesteaded in 1898 the 320 Ranch looks to provide a Montana experience to our guests in a ranch setting that offers flexibility for the traveler. We strive to provide an authentic western adventure tailored towards modern travel preferences.
Situated in the heart of the Gallatin Valley the ranch is located within the Gallatin National Forest. We are 12 miles from Big Sky and 36 miles from West Yellowstone.

About 320 Guest Ranch
One of the things that makes the 320 Ranch stand out among other guest ranches is the staff’s friendly, professional, down-home hospitality combined with the warm and historic atmosphere of our classic Western ranch.
We offer 58 modern and comfortable cabin accommodations, ranch activities, and wireless internet. Our ranch is open and staffing year round.
Our authentic Saloon offers relaxation in the after-hours, pool games and more, and our on site restaurant, McGill's, features superb wild game specialties of the house prepared by our Chef. Activities abound with Yellowstone National Park and whitewater rafting just 10 miles down the road, and trail rides, hiking, biking & fly fishing access on the ranch. In the winter, our ranch offers Sleigh Rides and is only about 35 minutes to the Big Sky ski resort! There are lots of outfitters in the area for snowmobile rides and cross country skiing too!
The Employee Experience
Because most of our staff lives and works on the property lifetime friendships are often formed. The work can be hard and long but we are all rowing the same boat to provide our guests with an amazing experience. We also understand that our employees come to Montana to enjoy all that we have to offer so we try to offer limited overtime and be fair with days off so our staff can get out and enjoy all the amazing things this state has to offer!

Room and Board
Dormitory style housing is available along with some meals. Housing and Meals are provided for a small amount each pay period, successful completion of a season will earn refund of half of your housing deductions.
Each Bunkhouse has its own community kitchen and living room. Wranglers share a cookhouse.
Sorry, we do not have housing for families, children, or pets.
The employee housing is smoke free, no smoking allowed in any of the buildings.

Getting Here and Getting Around
Due to the ranch being somewhat isolated, many of our staff will drive to the ranch. If you choose to fly in, the Yellowstone International Airport at Gallatin Field in Bozeman, Montana is the closest airport (56 miles). Please let us know ahead of time that you are flying and we will have transportation scheduled to pick you up. If you decide not to have wheels, usually you can hitch a ride with a fellow teammate who is going to town.
For Fun
In the Summer - you have access to countless attractions such as sightseeing in our country’s first National Park – Yellowstone. On ranch, we offer horseback riding, blue ribbon trout fishing, and hiking. In the area, our staff enjoys ATV rides, whitewater rafting, ziplining, river floating, and more!
In the Winter - the ranch offers Sleigh Ride Appetizer rides. In the area, our staff enjoys cross country skiing on trails, snow mobiles , skiing at Big Sky Ski resort, and world class fly fishing.
Current Job Openings
- Independently working a fully stocked bar for banquet events and weekly BBQ events as a part of the banquet staff.
- Stocking the bar in the different locations for events; sometimes in outdoor locations requiring heavy lifting (over 50 lbs)

The barista will great customers, answer their questions, take orders and accept payments, and prepare and serve food and drinks. You will also maintain a clean ad well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.
To succeed as a barista, you should be committed to providing excellent service. You should be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite.

Line Cook
Working closely with our chef, daily skills could include proper rotation of product, ability to prep and ensuring quality of meals prepared, sharing line duties as well as working solo, and an all around knowledge of cooking, prepping & knife work. Must be strong on the grill and sauté. A flexible schedule is also a must as you have the potential to work morning and/or evening shifts.

Customer Service Agent
Our customer service agent is the first person that guests will meet when arriving at 320 Ranch. They are a key member of the hospitality team here. It is their responsibility to greet guests, assist with the check in process, register the guests, let them know about on-ranch activities and amenities. Customer Service Agents are also responsible for verifying credit cards, balancing accounts, and securing payment for any on-ranch activities or room charges. Customer Service Agents will need to have a working knowledge of how to operate a PC, and will use a reservation software daily to take new reservations, change existing reservations, and occasionally cancel reservations.
Customer Service Agents are also a key part of the team by providing guests with knowledge about the area. We encourage our agents to get out and explore Big Sky and Yellowstone!
Housekeeping
Laundry Attendant
Laundry Attendants are critically important to ensuring a consistent, high-quality guest experience, primarily by providing the team and the ranch with a steady supply of clean, guest ready linens. Our primary goal is to provide our guests with exemplary, memorable service with maximum efficiency, consistent professionalism, and positive energy. You will be expected to demonstrate a high attention to detail, while meeting the high standards for individual and team performance set by the ranch and the Housekeeping Manager.
Laundry Attendants maintain the overall appearance of our ranch linens, but may also be expected to join the team in the field, cleaning ranch properties/rooms. This is a physically demanding role. You will be expected to be able to regularly perform the many physical tasks that are normal part of your role. Daily responsibilities include the cleaning of linens, cleaning common use areas of the ranch, re-stocking department vehicles and caddies, preparing clean linen bags for the following workday, and other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Leadership Team.
Applicants should be able to interact with guests, as well as other ranch employees in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner. The preferred applicant is self-motivated, self-disciplined, with an outgoing, positive, upbeat personality which helps them to be an excellent team player. Applicants must be able to lift weights up to and including 50 lbs. Applicants must be able to stand for long periods up to and including (5) five hours. Applicants must excel at time management, and be highly goal-oriented. Prior commercial housekeeping experience is preferred, but not required, as training will be provided.

Wrangler / Barn
General Ranch Hand
Looking for a reliable ranch hand for assistance with the horse operations. Duties are subject to what is going on on ranch, but can/will include:
Wrangler
We are looking for wranglers with guest ranch wrangling experience as well as extensive horse background. The main duty is the care and upkeep of our herd of trail and draft horses and overseeing the animals and guests on the trails. The ranch takes out thousands of trail rides in a summer and ensuring that the horses and guests are safe is priority number one along with ensuring the guests have a great ranch experience. Knowledge of driving draft horse teams is a plus. Cleaning out stalls, feeding horses, saddling horses and going out on trail rides are part of the duties. CPR and first aid certification are required for this position. In the winter, chopping wood, stacking wood at cabins, snow removal and driving the sleigh teams are also a part of the position.
